I was there. And all the posters in this thread know nothing about eve since all the explanations are really bad.

As far as I can tell only 2 posters here tried to explain anything, so ... ?

If you were there would you like to enlighten as lowly folk as to what really is going on instead of being condescending?

I put 10 hours into EVE, but nothing doing. At this point the only thing that could get me to play would be if a dedicated group of vent buddies were to just help power level me. As it stands I could probably do with a better group of vent buddies.

There is no such thing as power levelling in Eve, since skills improve in real time?

I play Eve but not deep enough into it (yet) to be in one of these superpower coalitions. We do have a couple of people in the Giant Bomb channel that are a member of TEST Alliance, curious to see if they were a part of this. It's probably a good thing for the game if these guys go into all out war.

Recently got kingdoms of amalur. Still not a fan of the way it looks but the combat sure is fun!

I really, really like this game. Dabbled with it in closed Beta and playing it "serious" now since progress will be saved.

I really like the way the potions work. They are indeed persistent flasks, you can have 5 of them and they refill. There are different types of potions like the obligatory health and mana, but there are also other types. What is cool is these flasks are items and can have different extra magical properties like the rest of the loot in the game.

The way F2P is done seems really awesome, I haven't felt the need to pay any money yet it's all cosmetic or convenience type stuff. I am sure I will spend some just to support the devs.

One knock is that the artstyle is mostly good to decent, but there is some really crappy looking environments in this game. Also, the characters themselves don't look great, and the armor/weapons on them so far neither. It seems like it's made to look worn down and patched on purpose, so maybe all that stuff gets to look more powerful/awesome in later acts.

I would advice anyone that likes Action RPG's to at least give it try, if only for the quite original systems they have in place for the way skills and potions work.

I am going to guess that at least 4 out of the 8 women are going to be of the opinion that this torso thing was gross and distasteful, but not really the best example of sexism in the game industry. We'll see tomorrow I guess.

Damn, you had me check games on demand for a digital version, still nothing :(

Oh, sorry. I meant "digital version...of the Dark Arisen content," not the whole game.

(My 360 dvd drive is pretty much broken)

Does it work enough to detect whatever disk is in it? Is there no way to install a disk to a hard drive via another console, then play by just scanning the disk? I don't have much experience fiddling with Xbox storage devices, but I thought that was something you could do so long as you had the disk in the drive.

Ha, not your fault was just hoping. I assumed you were talking about PSN or something.

Yeah, the problem is with detection, your solution does work but it sometimes takes 5 or more times just to get it to recognize. It's just a hassle.

Furthermore, owners of the original Dragon's Dogma will receive 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack consisting of six brand new costumes for free, upon purchasing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Hmm. Does that only apply if I buy the digital version, I wonder? If I wanted to buy the new disk version (and trade my old copy off to a friend, or something), would I still get the bonuses?

Really curious about this one, hope we get a QL before release or I might just have to jump in "blind".
