@loktarogar: it was bad enough in previous weeks? Have I missed them discuss red dead properly? I can't recall them mentioning the games recently other than in passing.
Hell, they talk about lots of games I don't care about and I still listen. High tolerance threshold I guess?
Abby hasn't seen Friends? And two others said it wasn't funny? Maybe I was just on the verge of the show's demographic at the time but it's baffling to me that a 25 year old hasn't seen that show in some form. I would also say that although the show is clearly not high-brow comedy, it's very accessible and is very watchable. What's not to like?
@gerzie: Nah, I don't get frustrated about other people's speech patterns or language, seems like the kind of thing to get mad about in kindergarten. This is not some super formal business meeting or something, it's a casual video games show. If you're so annoyed, just turn it off or simply learn how not to be a dick.
This is not to you spefically, but honestly, I will never understand why all over the internet people gotta write their shitty opinions in the comments instead of keeping it to themselves. Constructive criticism is good, but stuff like "What's with this guy's language? This guy's voice is hard to listen to! Why'd they hire this person? I hate that person because shitty reasons" etc. is just embarrassing and not constructive at all.
Sorry not sorry, I'm just tired of reading stuff like this under most videos.
I don't think it's unnecessary. It's just an observation. As I said above, I'm so used to people on Giantbomb speaking a certain way - and it's very much like that for me in real life too - that when someone shows up speaking in a very different manner, it takes you out of it. I found it grating (and his bravado was really irritating even if it was for show) and was almost impressed by just how much of that sort of language he used. Again, I'm not saying I think he's weird, or annoying (the bravado, sure...), it was just such a difference to what I'm used to.
People in the chat yesterday were a lot meaner about his teeth than the way he spoke fwiw.
@gerzie: I said as much in the chat at the time. That may well be how he normally talks, but my God it's so out of sync with what I'm used to, and sounded really embarrassing. Especially compared to everyone around him.
