Escape from Tomorrow is a disaster of a film. Just bad from start to finish. The Borderlands' ending is - for me - its worst part. Just a mindless jump from what was a fairly scary film to ludicrous horror genre nonsense.

Kill List remains one of the most overrated and bizarrely-liked films I've ever seen. Pretentious and with an ending that tries to be clever, but fails.

The Loved Ones I didn't like either, but I can't remember why.

"The vast majority of horror spends way too much time fellating its clever or harrowing premise, and forgets the reason to care about said premise are characters worth a damn"

Is there a word missing/wrong in there?

Saw Grabbers last year and found it quite charming in how amateurish and goofy it is.

Saw The Awakening this year on your recommendation, Patrick, and found it better than I expected. Plan to watch Coherence tonight so I'll read that review later!

This is a terrible idea for any year. At least it is if you don't work out of your house. No human brain should be exposed to so many creature features or ghost stories with such frequency. Whatever makes you happy Tricky. Good luck making it to Halloween with your wits intact.

Not everyone is psychologically affected by horror films ;)

I'd say the use of "super" when describing something, but most of the games people on my twitter say the same thing so it's not specific to GB, just Americans I guess.

Brad's stroking of his neck/head has been covered, but it's not unusual. I tend to do the same thing.

Kill List and The Loved Ones were completely lost on me, and I still don't understand how Alien is horror. It's a fairly suspenseful Science Fiction film...

Why would you buy the elgato if you had reservations about actually using it in the first place?

No thanks. Enough loss in real life. Don't need it simulated.

exactly. why in the fuck would anyone want to play this? I've dealt with enough loss and still have plenty I could lose before my time comes. Why in the hell would I want to play a game centered around the hell you go through?

Sometimes we feel like experiencing/consuming varying forms of media on the matter can help us appreciate and understand loss more.

This game is something I'd love to at least see more of, though I doubt a console release is on the cards...

I don't understand why people moan about this stuff.

I'm a year subscriber, and I'm happy with the site's output.
