@fisk0: I just got to 14:05 and it happened again, this time with a slight distorted sound before the audio cuts out. I was able to skip forward a bit and it recovered. HTML5 Auto for me.

I'm having a similar issue with these videos on PC with wired headphones. In at least 4 of the videos, the audio will stop playing - no loud click/beep before hand - but the video will continue. To resolve the issue I have to refresh the page, skipping back and forth will not work.

Most recently it happened at 9 minutes into the latest episode: https://www.giantbomb.com/shows/part-11/2970-20924

I'm on Windows 10, running Firefox 84.0.2 64bit.

Oh man, I totally left out pretty much all of Capitol Hill....thanks for reminding me @sbaitso. I think the Eater maps cover a good number of places there, but you can also look at the Capitol Hill Neighborhood section of Eater for a lot of recommendations there. Tons of great stuff that way :)

Seattle local here! Places to consider if you're going to be mostly confined to the downtown area:

  • Anything by Tom Douglas is great. Take a look at the site and pick out one or two that look interesting to you. Wide variety of stuff from him, all excellent. I personally would try to hit Serious Pie, Serious Biscuit for breakfast, and Tanaka San, though really you can't go wrong.
  • Goldfinch Tavern at the Four Seasons is a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it if you want a nice night out. Happy Hour has some good options and is a bit cheaper.l
  • Umi Sake House for sushi is fantastic. Again if you can get there for happy hour, they have cheap rolls and beer/sake.
  • Pike Place Market has a lot of great options, including walk up/take out places like Piroshky Piroshky or one of the many food stands in the market, to nicer, sit down dining like Cafe Campagne, Matt's At The Market, The Pink Door....I could go on.
  • Pike Place Brewing has a great brew pub.

Other than all of that, take a look at Eater Seattle, especially their maps section, including things like their Eater Essential 38 and Hottest Restaurants Right Now. I use these personally when looking for something I maybe haven't tried before. Easy to spot places that are near where you'll be staying. If you spot something outside your walking distance, Uber/Lyft are both very available here and can get you to a lot of places for less than $10 each way if you use the cheapest options.

Hope this helps!

Hah, wow that actually worked. Now I feel dumb. It's been happening both at work and at home for a few weeks. Thanks!

For whatever reason, I can never get in to the live stream chat. I always get the message "You are not logged in.", and it doesn't give me any way to sign in. On the GB main page I show as signed in correctly. Example, right now I'm watching the Breaking Brad stream, but am not able to get signed in to chat.

@dagbiker: Not too surprising really. There was a good comment in here earlier about how artists in particular are a luxury most smaller developers can't afford to keep on staff unless they have some other skills as well (programming, project management, maybe audio?) Audio is another one that unless you've got some other skillset, you're not going to be kept around on a small staff. Hit box is a bit specialist, and they may not have someone on staff that does it.

With 8 salaries to pay, you're looking at 1-2 Producer/PMs, 1-2 designers, 3 programmers, a test lead, and fill in the blank for the last 1-2. No room for animators/artists, audio engineers, specialist engineers, etc.

@dennistm: Yes, they're definitely taking a pay cut. That would be $31,200 a year per employee. Not much, especially in LA, even for an industry that isn't known for huge salaries. $150,000 for a character in a fighting game is a bargain basement price. At that cost, Super Street Fighter 4 AE would have cost only $5,850,000 for the character development.

EDIT: Miscounted characters in SSF4AE :)
