" Looks like I'll be skipping this quest, not going to hunt down new users and spam their shit. "
This will be this first one I have skipped and same reason pretty much besides what everyone else said about looking like a stalker/jerk and definitely insincere.

That or maybe I think its way too much work or that there will be the inevitable response of "WTF are j00 doing!!!1111 *lol cat*". We have to face the fact that stupid crappy users have to start somewhere and even being nice to them will not work. It's just how it is. Well I don't want to talk to that guy even for xp lol.

" @JuanSolid:  @Damien: Yeah, I'm assuming the same thing. It's probably happened a ton of times, but obviously I've not gone to check Xbox.com to see if it's updated before.

If it isn't fixed within 24hrs, I'll try recovering my profile and see if I can redo it.

Link to profile. "

if you recovery your gamer tag your save file will still be complete and force you to play the whole game again.... Like I said if the score is correct for you, it has to update with xbox live. Hold in there and I don't recommend recovering your tag since..... nvm, I was thinking about the 6 month rule on moving licenses for content lol.

Good Luck!

" I think we have stepped away at the question and are just attacking each other really. It's a dead thread. And personally I only really have issues with the ignoring of racist and sexist terms now. But I think it's a lost cause since it's considered "profanity" and "allowed". Whatever. New topic! "

Well it's a topic now, and up to the users to decide when it dies. I said my piece, and it is done for me. Remember the first page though where the long picture is of the two cats and the dog sitting nicely on the humans lap. It quotes any thread/topic made. You will inevitably have a scuffle, but it all depends on how people carry out that scuffle. Note that the human is surprised and the cat on the far left wants to leave. only the dog and middle cat seem ready to draw blood. So what's that? 50% of people?

Shit happens. If your done with this topic, ignore it. OP's do not have a responsibility to stay to the end lol.

I'll be that left most cat now, he was smartest to leave when a fight is not necessary of course. Just make yourself riled up, make someone else mad, no one wins of course.... Except the left most cat ;).

" @JuanSolid: Eh, everyone can have an example. But the mods on this site are pretty fair. And "tiny asian penis" wouldn't probably float on this site anyway. A lot of people have tiny asian penises, including myself. "
Lol

Well later in his topic he said the small original post is justified because he explained in a later post that he was watching asian porn. That's over and done with of course and I think their forums have improved since a bunch of users grew up who used to troll regularly based on what I can see when I scanned it like a few months ago. Still not going back, but good for them of course.

Honestly my whole point was as long as the mods are not running around protecting each other while they themselves break the rules, it's all good.

No, I just appreciate the work these people do. Just as I appreciate the work of First Responders, Police Officers, Ambulance Operators and First Aid, and Firemen, and our troops. I know I don't thank the police and the troops and firemen enough for what they do. We should be thanking those individuals on a daily basis. The moderators are like the Police of Giant Bomb. I feel much the same way about them. I find it disappointing that not everybody feels the same way. "
If you feel that you have to thank a bunch of assholes that allow trolling and flaming, and also ban users that post criticism, then that just stupid. . . "
calling someone a kiss ass is not criticism, it's flaming. This is what they call trolling, going around and flaming other people.

Now if you went into real detail that explained why you thought his statement was wrong, that would be criticizing. As it stands responding with less than a complete sentence and insulting another user is only criticizing in a trolls Websters dictionary.

@ZanzibarBreeze just learn to ignore posters who flame you. I always thought it was sad that someone could get so mad at something a person would say that they can not think of a real rebuttle. Either that or they do not have the capacity to do so. If the latter is true I really feel bad responding if they can't understand the response lol. Better to say nothing at all.

P.S. I will criticize myself first by saying yes it is hypocritical to tell someone else not to respond to another user's post and respond to them anyway. I just really think the poster got the definition wrong of critisism.

My personal favorites are when you come across some thread where mods have posted in them themselves, then one of them having a bad day comes a long and locks the thread because they don't like the topic. The biggest problem is with off topic. The entire point of that thread is to talk about things not related to video games, but I can't begin to count the number of times that the mods have come in, locked a thread and said some stupid thing like this is a video game website don't talk about this. IT'S FUCKING OFF TOPIC! THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF OFFTOPIC! "

LMAO. It reminds me of the old days where I used to post in a Newgrounds general forum. They had a set of rules, but it was general discussion so anything went except porn and spam. Here is the kicker that made me quit with that forum due to bullshit.

Mod named 'StuporMan' makes a topic entitled 'Tiny Asian penis' and his first post read 'makes me mad'. So the users started protesting and yelling and stuff and I made a response topic replacing the word penis with vagina..... So my topic get's locked, everyone who posted in my topic got banned, including me, and every other freaking mod on that site said his topic was justified, but since mine was obviously in response it must be spam.

So as long as the mods here respect the rules themselves, I don't care what they do honestly. That whole situation soured me to mods since honestly, even if the guy was an original mod from the inception of the site, he should have been banned, or his topic locked/deleted. No instead we get some bs where every other mod protects him like a bunch of cops fixing evidence to save their buddy from a DUI because he wears a badge.

P.S. I have nothing against cops, it's just an example of people abusing power and breaking the rules when they want to.

My friend is chasing my score and winning all of a sudden. I usually play offline, but my score is accurate. Anyway he messages me online saying he beat me by one point, and I tell him he did not because it did not update. If it updated on your console/gamer tag, than you just need to log into xbox live and give it a bit before it updates. As long as your gamer score appears accurate online to others who cares if they don't see it in compared games?

Anyway make sure you go online at least one and than sleep on it....

This reminds me of the old composite hook up paint system where you could put monsters on the screen and they would move.....just 3d.

I decided to come back and clear some things up.

So in this game stats are reset to that of a level 1 character. If your class can not learn spells on it's own, it will not be allowed to carry them over from a previous classes levels. What you do get to carry over are skills learned through the skill point system, as an example, if your character knows dragon slash and changes to a wizard, he will still know dragon slash. I believe this covers all stat boost's as well gained through the skill point system, so that is kinda your "start with half stats" I mentioned. the big thing is you can equip all the weapons available to that class with no level restrictions, so your level one character can easily have a bad ass attack and defense......but low hit points, but than again the enemy is not hitting for much at that point lol.

Any skill points put towards a weapon skill set carry over from character to character and your allowed to build on them. In this respect my best advise is to seriously consider maxing out every characters core class for their class specific skill set. It would really stink to say be 10 points away from getting omnivocational (probably meaning spells carry over from class to class and your allowed to use all the equipment of said class) in a class and missing it because you maxed out your level......this is assuming the maximum level is some such as 60-80-99-or 100. If there is no max, who cares than?

All I know is I will be a bit ticked off if I am scouring the land for skill seeds to raise my mains minstrel skills because I focused on making him the ""tank" by slamming sword skills for extra damage.

This game is seriously frustrating at times in the respect I mentioned above happens a lot and since nothing is explained I could have already screwed the pooch as they say. Oh well I am going back to making everyone who is not a thief, a thief, until they all learn to steal, and than back to their original classes. Having one char steal all the time and fail is a pita and wasted several hours of my time so far trying to get specific alchemy ingredients.

Now if I could only figure out if all the time I spend on this game is a form of OCD or because I am actually enjoying it. All I know is I am not bored really, because time flies and does not drag when I play.

I like it, but it does kinda feel like I am going to be playing for 100 hours or the equivalent of 3-4 DW3 runs and get the same thing from it. The story line is better, but that is not saying so much, since three had barely a story line. DW4 would be better for you. BB had a sale for buy one DS game get the other half off so a buddy was already buying a copy and did not want another game and let me get this for $15, so I am happy with it in that respect.

Maybe I am just getting less patient as i get older, but I feel compelled to alchemise better equipment. This takes a long time when you have to scour the world for ingredients and have a thief steal them as well. The worst part of this, and I realize it too, is that if I would probably be better, and faster, to advance the story and get to a new town with better armor than anything I could previously create. However the games balance of money and cost of weapons (and selling back a weapon only gives you 10% what you paid) make it necessary to at least alchemise 25% of your equipment I would say, or else your going to be grinding forever.

Now that equipment you can make is better than what you can buy, and most of the stuff you make, you can not buy. Also as is traditional, in the end, I am betting you can make the best and greatest weapons only through this process. I will hold reserve on judgment for this as well because I may go to the next town and see that my equipment is still better, or as good.... But I am bucking on finding out I need to buy that equipment to make even better stuff lol.

" I bought it and am liking it so far. It's an acquired taste, though. One of my main complaints is that you don't have a shared item inventory. Items you get go into a bag and you have to assign them to particular party members if you want to use them in battle.

This is actually traditional of DQ series. FF may give their characters time to leave the battle and access 300 pounds of equipment, but the Dragon Warriors can't spare that time or their face will be eaten :p. Also FF likes to make the games intro story take like 30-50 hours to develop vs this one between 1-3 depending on if you know what your doing or not.

All I know is I end up playing the game for several hours and not realize the time has passed. I really don't think i would be doing that if I did not like the game. I am guessing I am frustrated on spending so much time on it when I should be doing other things lol.
