This is never going to happen, each company will be all for standardizing the hardware... so long as it's their hardware. If it would happen I think it would put a serious dent in tech innovation, if anything different companies should try to differentiate their consoles even further. And I don't mean that in the sense of motion sensing controllers or a different boxcolor but in the sense of real meaningfull differences in the consoles!
I'm rather surprised by the lack of thought put into why suicide would be illegal in this thread.... It's kinda of an open that the guy who wants to end it doesn't give a flying fuck! But the idea behind it is that you can't help people kill themselves. Legalising that would pretty much make every murder committed a " I was helping him end his life" sobstory.
That and people would insure their 'loved-ones' and then 'help them end their life' and be rich like you wouldn't believe! ^^ Suicide voids any lifeinsurance as it is (ruffle) illegal!
" Well, it's hard to come up with a strong argument for the banning of minarets, but as mentioned in the article they are trying to prevent themselves being taken over by political Islam, as has been an issue of late. And I tend to think that's justified. "
Then why not establish a secular legal system, withdraw the Swiss guards from the Vatican, and enforce property rights? (The latter clause would prevent them from having the arrogance of arbitrating architectural aesthetics.) "
Who in the hell are you telling the swiss what they can and can't do in their own country anyways! Besides the papal guard is retained by the papacy and not sent by the Swiss government... I doubt the majority of the Swiss would be very inclined to pay for the protection of the Pope seeing as how they're very big on Calvinism.
