I say it's a step backwards because it's reducing, if not eliminating risk taking in the development process.

Perfect proof on how serious they are about the big names. Never knew Lucadeer's last name is Williams. That's rad.

Ryan did mention that he is a fan of the more arcady sports games, and the Tiger Woods series. The ones reviewed on this site definitely fall in that category. They did discussed this topic in past Bombcasts a while ago when there were only two of em'. Help yourself to the archive.

Uh, I was afraid that might happen. This is NOT a dissing effort. Giantbomb has openly agreed not to review sports games because they're simply not fans of it. So rather then trying to appeal to a larger crowd by putting up sports games reviews, they just stick to the genres they know and love, which earns them my total respect. IGN's review of WSM 09 is an example of a review written by someone who's not a fan, persumably.

One reason why I'm glad this site has not tried reviewing sports games. See here.

It was originally planned for 2008, but now it says on A2M's website that the game's coming out in 2009 for 360 and PS3 with Sierra still publishing.

A mix of Strangehold, POP, Tarantino. Seems ambitious. Might be too ambitious. Still not sure about the title. Seems like some seedy marketing decision to attract a specific type of demographic. Or maybe I'm just dirty like that. See it here.
