Games I played in 2012 that came out in 2012 that I thought were some of the best games to come out. If I had to recommend games that came out just from this year, then these would be it. These games are also in no particular order.
This game has been a real gem to play. I know it came out very late in the year. Maybe so late that people would think it should go on a 2013 game of the year list, but it is also kind of funny that it is also a port of a game that came out a few years ago with some extra bells and whistles. I think the extra stuff is great, especially the voice feature that lets you see what everyone who is playing the game chose to do with their free time. It really goes to show with this game that with a good story, memorable characters, a deep combat system, and other features to match that Japanese RPGs have not lost their magic. I just wish other RPG makers in the east could take some tips from this game.
