A few minutes in to the QL and there's already been a fat joke, multiple incredibly tasteless jokes about slavery, and a bunch of other stuff. I am genuinely astonished. I have not seen this in a video game before, it's beyond even 'what do you think is appropriate in comedy' or 'what do you think is funny' - I can understand people liking some of these jokes but cramming a game full of them and making collecting slaves like pokemon a game objective is just... what are you doing

This screenshot is giving me literal pain. Horrifying flashbacks of elementary school kids who thought they were hilarious.

Yeah between the stellar writing on display here and the art that I will generously describe as 'authentic custom RPG Maker 95 sprites' this game will need really good gameplay to even remotely approach making up for its flaws

EDIT: oh god they're drawing pixel art at uneven sizes and at non-snapped coordinates so it wobbles and shifts as the camera moves, this is killing me. Please, no

Love watching the crime crew and their hijinks.

Edit: Y'all did real good to complete the mission considering you couldn't see the road in front of you.

Got to say though, every single line from characters in the game has me scratching my ears out. Is the story campaign the same level of quality?

The main story campaign is worse, if anything. It's so bad that when trevor showed up the first time I quit playing. (I finished it eventually, the gameplay is fun)

It's hard to come up with any explanation for this game's writing other than 'the housers love the sound of their own voices and think they're hilarious'. RDR1 and 2 are perfectly fine to listen to most of the time and have some cool plot twists. Then there's GTA5...

It's great that MS is at least openly calling for devs to support this, because they used to forbid it. It'll be great if eventually we can play games like Destiny with our buddies even if we're on different consoles. You'll never be able to eliminate the input method gap between PC/console players in shooters, but maybe that's okay.

This game's pretty good. It gets dark and kinda lovecraftian later on.
