Yes it's an apocalypse, all the humans are in caves, there is no food to be found and link is probably emaciated, a giant mutated pig stands between you and a girl who probably has radiation poisoning.

Every man, woman, and child has been turned into inanimate objects, the sky is black, man eating turtles and *living mushrooms* are trying to eat you! Perhaps the most cheery apocalypse that has ever been.
