I dunno man, I don't think this is an equivalent comparison. I get the point you're making about the state of games at launch these days, and yes, not being able to save progress is unarguably a game-breaking bug. That said, the sheer diversity and severity of Cyberpunk issues, ranging from entirely textureless and featureless NPC blobs at 15FPS to game-breaking script issues throughout, far outweigh the issues in other Ubisoft games

Playing Cyperpunk around launch was so profoundly broken that it was laugh-out-loud funny. I had so much fun glitching and sliding through a dizzying, surreal bugged-out cyberscape, NPCs dropping out of the sky like gory rain, and cars simultaneously stuck for blocks in single-lane gridlock on a four-lane street and soaring overhead for no explicable reason, that the only reason I stopped was because I actually wanted to take the game seriously. Utterly incomparable, and unlike any AAA experience I've ever had in my entire life.

I developed a repetitive stress injury with the PS4 controller. The joint at the very base of my thumb, where it meets my wrist, hurt like hell when I moved my thumbs. It was clearly a strain of some kind, but I didn't know why. I had purchased a PS4 a few months prior, and was using a PlayStation controller regularly for the first time in maybe 10 years. I had been playing lots of single-player adventure games, but I had no problem prior to the launch of Apex Legends. It started when Apex Legends launched, and persisted through Warzone's launch. When I switched to PC to play Warzone, and stopped playing Apex Legends altogether, it went away.

I ended up figuring out the problem for me: clicking in the PS4's joysticks was causing the problem. When run and melee are mapped to L3/R3, I am constantly clicking them, far more than in any other type of game by many magnitudes. The position of the sticks on this controller design is counterintuitive to my physiology for some reason. They're too low on the controller face, and they cause my thumbs to bend towards my body at a greater angle, making a half-circle "C" shape with my forefinger and thumbs. Applying repeated downward pressure with this position is unnatural for me.

I found out, though, that I'm not alone. I found a reddit thread in which someone described the exact same problem, and others responded with similar complaints. I was a day or two away from buying a SCUF controller so I could stop clicking in the sticks before I just switched to PC thanks to crossplay.

I found this video, and did these movements, and within a week, I was no longer in pain. Now I just know that I can't play FPS games for long periods of time on PS4.

And no, I have never had, and still do not have, this problem with an Xbox controller thumbstick layout.

I'm pretty sure you will not be disappointed with the Sony headsets. I have several really nice headphones, and the Gold headsets still sound good to me by comparison.

If you're really, truly committed to wiring your Bose headphones in, you could get an optical-to-analog audio converter box. You may also be able to use a USB-to-3.5mm cable, but I don't know what support is like for that.

Frankly, though, I would recommend any of the Playstation headsets. I really don't think this is worth the hassle if you can afford the difference.

@franzlska: Holy shit, that's awesome. That's a benefit I would have never considered.

@humanity: I suppose my original post was responding to how the vast majority of the posts in this thread seem to be from people who have already played 1 and 2. To that end, I was curious what other people's replay behaviours are actually like, versus what they would like their library to reflect. For people who see Hitman 3 as a perfect opportunity to dive into several (or all) of the Hitman games for the first time, the inclusion of 1 and 2 for free is a tremendous selling point. I would feel the same as you.

@devise22: Yeah, I definitely understand the appeal, then, for your play style. For me, the only irritating part of this was not being able to carry over unlocks - to an extent. I mean, if I start Hitman 3 with all the poisons, for example, or the keycard skeleton key, because I unlocked them in a previous game, I might actually be a little miffed that so much of the game has been trivialized already. So even then, I'm not sure I'd be that bothered. I'll definitely take all those costumes, though...

I understand why this is (was) frustrating, from a consumer standpoint. But, how many people who are upset about this are actually the kind of person who would have put real energy into replaying Hitman 1 and 2 in Hitman 3? I cored out the Hitman 1 levels in Hitman 1, and had no desire to revisit them now that there were functional mirrors and foliage in the Hitman 2 versions. I'm pretty sure I'm still not going to play them again in Hitman 3. Since VR won't be on PC, what new experience could be had in the Hitman 3 versions of those levels?

Also you are fine to not finish the game. While the bulk of the game is amazing, the ending is basically a middle finger to the player.

I remember really liking the 'driving' scene near the end. OP, maybe look it up. I thought it was pretty bold.

It will be interesting to see where she goes from here. It would be cool if IGN hired her.

I unfortunately cannot think of a more toxic community in major games media than IGN.

In Safari, the carousel content extends many times beyond the width of the page, allowing for scrolling very far to the right. Here's a screenshot:

No Caption Provided

This appears to be because the carousel, which is composed of
elements that are assigned a width of 20% of the container, add up to a value far greater than 100%, and overflow is not contained on their parent element. I was able to resolve this by applying overflow-x: hidden; to the 'grandparent' carousel element (not the
element, but its parent). Here's a screenshot:

I'm on Version 14.0.1 (16610.2.11.51.8) of Safari, on macOS Big Sur. Hope this helps!

Yeah, it's awful and is a common problem. There are tons of YouTube videos going over the same steps, and I think this is the one that I watched. I think the file config towards the beginning of the video was the part of the steps that worked for me. After doing this, downloads immediately maxed out.

Here's the vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0psYFiw0Q5c But again, toooooons of videos about this, all saying the same thing, so feel free to find the one you want to watch.

@sombre: ? This feels like old man yelling at cloud shit. The forums now consist mostly ONLY of names I recognize.

Sorry you don't know everyone now? It should not be hard to accomplish though?

this dude weeps at black-and-white pictures of the Old Posters in lots of threads like this. soon...it will be only he who remembers...

I don't know why this thread is arguably different than other threads by people airing their grievances on the way out. While it is even-tempered, the feedback is useless. "I miss when they were young". Okay, they're not now. That's not feedback, that's nostalgia. Nothing to be done.
