My workplace has chairs that cost like 1200€. Definitely a thing I'm missing while working from home.

Receiver 2 is such a bummer. That first game had all of these interesting gun mechanics, yet all you did was run around and collect tapes, but it felt kind of excusable since the game was a sparse proof of concept. But this game? It's 20 dollars and years after the second one, and it's almost the exact same game with practically the same environments and weapons, just made to look a little nicer. Why are the weapon mechanics so robust yet there's only two kinds of enemies in the whole game and you're barely even supposed to be fighting them as opposed to playing the world's shittiest scavenger hunt of trying to find these tapes? Like what is this game, man. Why not just take the weapons out and put in more mechanics around finding tapes if that's all they want you to do?

Hotdogs, Horseshoes & Handgrenades VR is pretty much Receiver 1-level complexity with over a hundred different weapons of all types and plenty of different game modes. It's only in VR though and instead of different keys for all the actions you perform most of them with your own hand movements.

I think Receiver 2 works the way it does because its message is that guns aren't cool. Guns are an accident waiting to happen and they're not supposed to be cool or fun, they're supposed to be serious lethal instruments that must be approached with respect. Taking a gun is a serious action with serious consequences to every little decision, most of which will result in people getting hurt or killed whether you want to or not.

By the way, Bubble Bobble has a secret ending that you discover by reaching level 10, 20, etc without dying. Then you get a bonus screen that introduces you to an alternate alphabet, Fez style and further screens that tell you how to get the good ending.

If you're so out of games to play, why not do a VRodeo or two?

Is there anything to that sausage game or am I better off getting my sausage game fix from Hotdogs, Horseshoes & Handgrenades with its zombie sausage roguelite mode?

Can you play the Coin Game in VR?

Doesn't look like it but Pierhead Arcade might fill the same niche.

@ogjbizz: Isn't the best outcome for an individual to steal while the other splits? I think the classic version has "nobody talks = a mild sentence for both, one talks = no sentence for him, big sentence for the other". Could do it in a kind of Virtue's Last Reward "battle royale" version.

Baldur's Gate 2 had an interesting variant where you and your sibling are locked up* and given a button, if only one of you presses the button the other person goes free but the button presser dies, both or neither press then both die.

*) It's a question posed to you by a djinn, not an actual situation you find yourself in.

Please make sure you also play the recent Walking Dead game (Saints & Sinners), it's good and too few people know about it.

You can't tell me these devs didn't play Monolith. Might as well check if opening the map lets you teleport to any room you've been to. The whole presentation, the way you have to fight minibosses to open the boss room, the way the bosses are introduced and even the bullets, all of that just screams Monolith. You look at a screenshot of the game where you don't see that it has gravity and you'd think you're looking at Monolith.
