Wow. The Sea of Thieves discussion was so incredibly dated. Why even bring it up if no one has given it a meaningful look since (essentially) the first couple days of launch? And why have an Ongoing Game category if you are only going to consider a handful of ongoing games? Silly.
Great show. I did shake my head at the trashing of the Xbox One UI. Maybe I'm lucky. My moves at a fine speed and I can get anywhere I want in seconds.
I love the enthusiasm over this game. It's good for the biz. But I just can't get into it. Really don't care for the art style, and the fact that it is now doing things other games have done for years isn't a big deal for me. Simply a matter of taste I suppose.
@hatking: Actually I don't think we're that far apart. I don't believe Jeff promotes any kind of system war. I also don't think he has any kind of agenda that aims to hurt Xbox One. But I do think he has an unquestionable preference when it comes to what platform he likes and so often it finds its way into his reviews. It definitely shows in the podcast.
Here is where I differ from the conspiracy theorists. I'm OK with him having strong preferences (except in the rare occasions where he goes on wild and incorrect tangents). It just keeps me from putting that much into certain reviews he does.
His Quantum review actually won me lunch today. I bet a buddy he would dislike it and now I'm picking out where we are eating for lunch. ;)
