I hope this game reminds the world that turn based JRPGs can still be great.

I think that I like Re:zero because the main character is really reminding me of the main character from Steins;Gate. I don't wanna spoil anything, but that gives me hopes for how Subaru might grow over the series. There's some more similarities beyond that that I kinda like. I think that the main characters are quite similar in both, but Subaru is more childish since they are going for more comedy. I will say that Steins;Gate's supporting characters were much more interesting than the supporting characters of Re:zero. So based on that, the thing I like about Re:zero is that it might go some cool places. But if they don't, then my opinion of the show will change.

Yeah its nothing new and its all basically Steins;Gate in a comedy fantasy setting (at least as I see it), but I liked Steins;Gate a whole lot. Maybe that's why I like Re:Zero. Though Steins;Gate had much better writing (in my opinion) and was more serious so I recommend it if that's whats letting you down about Re:Zero. It also nails the comedy when it goes for it. There's some great jokes in it. It also has a pretty good english dub.

I rewatched Steins Gate. I think its becoming a yearly summer ritual, because I don't think I'll ever get tired of that anime.

After seeing some people's reactions to the latest Kabaneri I thought it was gonna be really bad, but I don't know it seemed totally in line with the rest of the series so far. I will say that the animation quality seemed a bit lower than normal and we really could have used an episode of build up to what happened in this episode. It seemed a little to abrupt.

I really wish we could play as one of the other races in the ME universe. It would be a bit of extra work for them, but I think it would have been worth it. I'd love to play as Asari, Krogan or a Turian. The girl shown could be the default female model for the MC or she could be an important character in the story. Its hard to tell.

@edgaras1103 Yeah the last few episodes lost pretty much everyone. They even had to make a movie to "fix" the ending. That is, there is a movie, I think its called End of Evangelion, that is considered the real ending if you wanna watch more. IIRC it makes the last couple episodes of the series non-canon.

I tend to align with the theory that EoE doesn't make the series ending non-canon, that the two endings are actually concurrent with the series ending being from Shinji's perspective and EoE being what's happening all around him. Basically this. I'm also just one of those weirdos that genuinely likes the ending and particularly the two endings combined. And even more so with the Rebuild movies and this sort of stuff, it just tickles me pink.

Yeah that does make some sense. I had forgotten a lot of what happened in that series. Maybe I should rewatch it. Are those Rebuild movies done coming out yet? I've been meaning to check them out at some point, but I like to binge watch so I've been waiting.

So Big Order keeps on upping the ante on plot. Are we Bioshock Infinite now? Also, the MC was about to be sexually assaulted until he cried for his sister who's not actually his sister? I don't even know anymore.

*Reserved for Mayoiga shenanigans*

Big Order almost turned into hentai today. I thought she was his half sister. Its still weird. Everything's weird. I'd like to make a prediction about next episode. Its probably wrong, but I like to try and figure out whats going to happen. I think that Sena's wish was to become one of the bad guys from that evil ranger show. That's why she destroyed the world. I only guess this because they just randomly threw in that comment during the almost rape scene about how that show was the one thing they talked about as kids. She wanted to make his wish come true by becoming the villain for him to stop. Or hell maybe she hates just fucking hates him since she did kinda stab him through the stomach without a second thought.

@instantryan: I'm glad I'm not the only one still watching Big Order and Mayoiga on Fridays. Mayoiga gets dumber and dumber each week, but for some reason I enjoy watching it.

Has anyone here read the Big Order manga? Is it better than the anime? Is it the same? I feel like they're skipping stuff or something because the pacing seems wonky. Mirai Nikki is not perfect, but the pacing felt right to me (except a few minor spots I would have liked more interesting showdowns with the other diary holders, but they didn't have enough space to do that in 26 episodes so I'm okay with what we got).

@redhotchilimist I'm 27 and enjoying Kiznaiver. They are kids and having kid problems sure, but the character development is really well done so far. Its one of the reasons why I liked Persona 3/4. All the characters there had some teen ass problems, but the character development and writing is so good that I can still enjoy it. Actually I've been thinking about what if these characters were in a Persona game because that would be awesome. But yeah if its not your thing, then its not your thing. Not everyone has to like everything.
