I'm actually not a huge fan of most of the premium content. I went premium just to support gb as the podcast and quick looks are easily worth supporting, hell i usually get a shirt every year too. I have enjoyed the latest dark souls stuff with vinny and breaking bad with volgarr while working but the rest is often mehh. I'd say premium content is a 50/50 hit or miss for me at best.

Bottom line, even if money was an issue for me $50 per year still offers more hour value than 99% of games that retail for more.

So far it's been pretty boring, world seems dead, missions very repetitive, shooting mechanics for any competitive play are garbage... having to team up with fuck wits can get lame too. i thought it was going to a better world with more people in it. if it was just a free for all with 50 ppl per session and more health it'd be a lot more fun. a closed off death match is dumb, using the open world craziness with tons of people is what it's about.

I'm at a point where I barely want to play anymore.

no, i'm the boss so can play if i really wanted too often enough. time to burn isn't as readily available now but none the less.

god damn fuckin heathens running around without microwaves. i cook the shit out of food but i'll be damned if i'm getting pots and pans out to re heat some delicious leftovers in a tupperware.

for arguments sake i have a house, fiance and career. i'm not some single, basement dweller with a microwave fetish. i've never even met a respectable person without a microwave...

it's probably good that there's so many pussies out there, but this didn't bother me at all. it's a game, he did withhold info so whatever.

gore and other horrible things on the internet make me feel sick but not this.

all this does is make me wish it was on pc. sloppy controls, loads like a bitch all the time... fails to enter "jobs".

I probably had a horribly ugly sad face but it would just be a tear every once and while.

Looking forward to it and dreading it equally. I really want to know how the guys are doing past the obvious. I just want to hear them again after all this shit, you know...

Told my girlfriend and my mom when she called and asked how life was. They only got the surface of it though, which is fine as long as they know. They don't need to know or understand why a video "game personality" passing has me kinda fucked up...

Same, I work in finance and am also a "closet" gamer. Not that I'm embarrassed it just seems to have worked out that way after moving and working really hard to get this job my game friends just dissipated. With this news I personally feel like I've lost a close friend that oddly I've never met and no one but some people on twitter and this vast yet still so relatively tiny a community is sharing it with me. I mean my girlfriend, the women I love and live with doesn't even know who he was, so I just had to be like yea he was just a nice, fun guy..... it hurt. I can't imagine how tough it is for the real people at giant bomb, family and especially his wife. Over the last few years I've integrated the bombcast and videos into my life regularly. Planning out a good session for the bombast for a long drive or driving my tractor to cut my grass every.. fucking.. week.. for.. years. I actually was going to cut the grass today, gonna be tough not hearing his voice.... it sounds stupid but it was a part of my life that i truly enjoyed for years.

Hopefully the guys at giant bomb can find a way to still make this formula work by modifying the ingredients a bit. I know he can't be replaced but for the duders sake and for the sake of the giant bomb staff I hope this party doesn't slow down. As a business man, I can't stop but think of the business ramifications and however sad this is now life will have to go on at some point. Hopefully we can all find a way to charge on while carrying this void.
