Nah. In my personal opinion I have never been able to gain anything from it happening. I'm sure it's great for the caller, but most of the time I just skip ahead (if it's an archive) and ignore it.

Can't really get myself hyped up when I'm not quite sure what kind of game this is going to be. I'm looking forward to the QL and hear what GB says about the game first.

Yeah, definitely. This is a game that could be incredibly great, or kinda bad. Remember the dark lesson Spore taught all of us.

I think I may be the only person who fell in love with Spore. One of my favorite games.

Nope! I poured hours into that game. It was my go-to game when I would relax in my college's student lounge in-between classes.

I am a Blizzard fanboy. Figured I should get that out there first.

I was only able to attend a handful of beta weekends/stress-tests through it's alpha/beta phase and what I played of it was fantastic. I am a very vain player, and Overwatch proved to me that something can break me of that mold. I played before they added the lootcrates, cosmetics, and even leveling. Generally I need those things to stay interested in this sort of game, and the fact that Overwatch was able to break me of that and I was capable of playing multiple matches just for the sake of the game-play speaks volumes to me.

I was thinking about getting it on PC but after playing the beta, I think I'll pass. Can't really understand why it's not a free to play game, especially considering the success they're having with Hearthstone and HOTS.

The architecture of the game would crumble if it was free-to-play. The game is mean't to be played where each player changes heroes in-between deaths to accommodate the strengths and weaknesses of the other teams. Playing Overwatch with few heroes unlocked and relying on team-makeups to meld properly is a disaster waiting to happen. I know everyone wants all of these types of games to go the route of DOTA2 with a fully unlocked roster and only cosmetics costing money, but I truly think DOTA2 is a one-of-a-kind instance where that can be accomplished due to the very nature of it's market and platform.

Also, I plan to get it on PC once I have the cash!

From my perspective, which obviously is a tiny grain of salt to you, if you have the computer to run it and the cash to spend it is well worth it. I haven't had as much fun with my small amount of time to play games as I have with my Rift & Vive.

@baronsamedi: It really is nuts sometimes. I guess maybe games that don't have a strict over-bearing rule system kind of lends itself to the community making up for it to avoid absolute anarchy? Reminds me of the good ole' days in "Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided." Never before had I seen cohesion by a community more than when it came to the doctors buffing their customers. I never heard the words spoken that commanded people to do so, but 10's, if not hundreds on the weekends, would line up single-file and wait their turn to get buffed. It was amazing.

I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion and all, but I tend to enjoy FPS' more now then I ever did back in the game. I have a lot of fond memories of Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Halo, etc., but I actually like the direction they are headed in.
