Games of 2013 that I have played

List items

  • Jesus is this game long. I haven't gotten very far through it, but I've already sunk 20 or so hours into it. The story is a little too childish, but the mechanics are quite brutal at times. It's a serious JRGP from a gameplay perspective.

  • Call of Space. It's not as scary as Dead Space 2 and playing it on co-op completely eliminates the tension of the game. Still, pretty fun.

  • Like Uncharted 1, I like what this game tried to do, and I think it has a ton of promise, but it still isn't quite as polished as it could be. I am looking forward to the sequel.

  • What a colossal mess. Even with the server stuff working, it's.... just not that good a game! In fact, it's pretty bad. Small cities, busted graphics (buildings flicker, road textures disappear) and wonky traffic mechanics. I regret buying this before I saw the GB quicklook.

  • So far my game of the year. I thought it was great, in many, many ways. Favorite game of all time? No. But it's very good. Worth the wait.

  • I played through half of this on the Xbox, but the stuttering and the lag made it a less enjoyable experience. Played it on the PC, and finished it (not completely, but I'll get there). Much better on the PC.

  • Got this for the Borderlands 2 skins. Ash is really annoying in this game.

  • This game is only good when you have friends to play it with. There is no point playing it in singeplayer. However, if you do have friends, it's great!

  • A great game, although I think I'm missing some of the magic associated with it since I never played "A Link to the Past". Still a great game - not my game of the year, but I can sort of understand why some sites would give it Game of the Year.

  • The Singleplayer is predictably short and pretty much nonsense, but the multiplayer is darn good - when it doesn't crash. Yes, even 2+ months after it was released, it's still not functioning well. Quite Disappointing.

  • I still think "To the Moon" packs more emotion than this game, but this one comes pretty close. It's not a fun game to play - but it is one you should play

  • Very, very fun. Multiplayer is garbage, but the Single Player story was pretty entertaining.

  • A great new Pokemon game - much of the grinding and the fat have been cut out of it - this may make it less appealing to some people, but to time-starved individuals such as myself, it's great.

  • This is the only Assassin's Creed Game I've actually finished. It's pretty good - good enough for me to bother finishing it. Ship sailing is pretty interesting, even if it grows a bit stale. The plot is pretty good, and so are the characters. The combat mechanics are decent, but the game noticeably breaks a bit whenever there are too many enemies fighting you at once, and it has its share of "Open-World" glitches.

  • For someone who loved "To the Moon" very much, I was hopeful that this game would give me a similar emotional impact. It did not. I don't know why - maybe it's because it's so American - you really have to have grown up in a North American household in the 80s and 90s for this to resonate with you. I did not grow up in such a household. The story was good, but not especially moving for me.

  • Cause No Trouble.

  • Damn am I glad I got this for free on PSN - not that I wouldn't have paid money for it. It's a great game, I'm just saying that if it wasn't on PSN I wouldn't have tried it and realized how good a game it was.

  • Hauntingly beautiful.

  • If you liked Enemy Unknown, you'll like this game. It's a little bit easier than Unknown, so if that interests you, pick it up.

  • Got really bored really quickly with this game. Do not understand the appeal at all. Left my village to rot after the one citizen I liked moved away despite my wishes.

  • It's still got some Eastern European jankiness to it and I find the fake-russian accents pretty laughable, but it's a good game for the most part. Well worth your time.

  • Play this game right now.

  • A great puzzling experience. Some of the puzzles and the platforming are a little tiresome, but the creativity on display here is wonderful to behold. That it was all done by ONE MAN? Amazing.

  • The Diablo II sequel we deserved. A great Action RPG. I just wish I hadn't shown it to my Brother who is addicted to the damn thing. If he likes it, you KNOW it's a good action RPG.

  • Completely ridiculous. You may like it, you may not, depending on your sense of humour. I felt that the writing was superior to SR3, but I can't pretend that I loved this game all that much.
