Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, hands down. After all these fairly recent, positive second looks at Lost Odyssey, I was hoping I'd find a favourite in that game, and after all these years I started it, kinda liked it for even a couple of extended periods of in-game time, but couldn't bring myself to finish it. In the end, I just found it that shallow and boring.

As for Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy is my favourite video game series of all time... right up until Final Fantasy XIII. I hate that game, and what I hate even more is having to take the game for another spin (from scratch, what pain), a promise I made when I recently completed my main series collection. I have also decided to postpone starting Final Fantasy XIII-2 before that. I'll spend my vacation next month with my free trial period of Realm Reborn.

I also have Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean: The Last Hope and Tales of Xillia, all of them still practically sealed. Good games, I'm sure, when I have time for them, but I don't believe none of them will stand up to Ni no Kuni. Awesome game.

Jukka from Finland, turning 30 years next summer. I work as a part-time foreman at a general store, sing for a local thrash metal upstart, and I've been a crazy gamer for 25 years, just crazier and more relentless as time goes by; I've written reviews of both retro and new games for the last four years. I'm especially into RPG's, classic platformers, and action/adventures, while not that into racing games, sports games and first-person shooters.

About 95% of my nightmares are of this game :P

One of the most pleasurably painful games I've ever played in my life. Personally, I think it's harder than the original NES game, and definitely harder than its predecessor on the Sega Genesis, which is my favourite game in the main series. There's a certain charm to it, that's for sure.
