I certainly hope so too. Tony Hawk was a little disappointing and Deadlight was garbage so I'm hoping this will be the big hit of this year's Summer of Arcade.
I figured Bioware would continue the Mass Effect series but it's nice to have it confirmed. Going to miss Shepard and I doubt the other characters will appear in future games either but more stuff in the same universe is definitely a good thing.
I'm always a bit skeptical, not because I don't trust these things but just because they might end up altering the gameplay or story from what was intended. Imagine a fan patch that turned Deus Ex into a straight up shooter for example, if you played it that way you'd probably wonder what all the fuss was about.
But from what I've heard the unofficial patches for this are superb.
