I spent some time tonight compiling and visualizing data from every Game of the Year Giant Bomb has hosted deliberation podcasts for (2008 to 2017).
While the findings aren't that surprising, I found investigating how much time has been spent debating the nature of notable video games interesting. I hope you do too!
@rorie: But not bad for doing something 3 years after the fact. I'm surprised they're turning around and reminding everyone of the whole thing. But hey, they're on a good streak.
Dunno, I have a feeling there was some class action lawsuit in the background here forcing their hand. I think I remember a few of those popping up around the time of the hack.
But, yeah, they've seemed to be doing their best to turn public opinion around lately. Their PR and Marketing teams deserve a lot of credit.
That's a good point, a lot of folks were directly affected by that fiasco. You're right.
And totally, their teams are doing a smashing job selling the PlayStation in a ton of ways. Tons of credit.
Now... to look into claiming my sweet, sweet PS3 wallpaper...

I'm still a little confused by the ending. I want to go back and play the earlier bits to catch parts, but it's a matter of time and not wanting to mess up my saves on accident.
I'm going to miss Vinny on Unprofessional Fridays, but who knows? That could very well change as part of this process too -- which would be fine, so long as the squad keeps up with the premium content. But it's also important to me that Vinny (everyone for that matter) is happy, and is in a place where he can raise his family and see his relatives. As a person who worked for a company in LA (in the games media space) while being from Arkansas/NC, I sympathize immensely with wanting to stay/go back home.
I do wonder what sort of content Vinny and Alex will be working on, and would love to see Patrick looped in were it not for him being in Chicago. Can't wait to see what they come up with.
I see Brad, Jeff and Drew being in GB San Fran continuing to be a great combo, and a good headquarters.
It'll be extremely interesting to see where GB goes in the future. With announcements like these, you definitely can't say it's stagnant over here.
