I love seeing films in theaters but man it can become so noisy at times that i feel like plugging my ears with my fingers. Some films just are too horrid in that aspect to be watched at a theater.
It makes me sad that I've seen most of the films mentioned here but there are a couple of films here that i plan on checking out if the plot is nice.

I would love to say that I'm part of an exclusive "Dark City" club, but every time someone brings up the subject, Dark City is one of the most popular submissions. It's been long enough and promoted enough that it's a fairly known film. That shouldn't take away from its awesomeness - I go back to watch it every month or so. Dat ending...
Fringe is the "dark sci-fi" of TV. I highly recommend it. With the break going on right now, I've gone back to watch the last 3 seasons. Held up really well.
I watched Fringe up to season 3's finale, lost interest afterwards.
And i'm happy that, you too, found a way out of those vicious problematic, cycles that we created on our own.
I like to think it's the series of events that led us to their in the first place. Anyone can face the same issues provided that proper conditions are met.
For me the game that helped keep me sane and alive was World of Warcraft, logging on every day and watching random people fight about the stupidest things like what color tastes like or how would Chuck Norris defeat The Lich King made me laugh a lot. Just running around aimlessly with random strangers questing and chatting gave me a small glitter of hope at the end of the very long tunnel. It got me through the toughest times and allowed me to practice a life free of lies.
Gaming is such an amazing thing to have in your tough times...i can't imagine where i would be if i wasn't a gamer. Most people would chuckle at that kind of statement but any gamer will know what I'm exactly talking about.
Yeah, the people who would chuckle are probably those who don't get video games to begin with. I think that games can be very soothing and interact with ourselves in a lot of meaningful ways.

Dude that feels a lot like how my life was like the past couple of years, The only exception is that i didn't go to a therapist and clawed my way and used my ego and sense of humor as a weapon. Granted I'm badly damaged from that experience but I've been there, the loss of friends, the excessive lies,the feeling of guilt and despair. I'm happy to hear that things got better for you mate, definitely following you (By the way your English is fantastic.).
