I'm a giant fan of what High Moon did with the TF games but Deadpool looks like it might be a bit of a letdown at best. Luckily its only 30 bucks on steam so when it goes on sale it'll be dirt cheap and won't cost too much to find out if its alright.

Remember when consoles were about pushing a power button and putting a disc in and pressing play, and that was it. Good times.

Do they not know how these new policies will change their previous plans? His responses to your questions were quite vague. Also, I'm confused as to why a day-one update is such a necessity to what they are doing. Does anyone know?

Sounds to me like its just their way of doing a "check" to see what game you've bought. I imagine used games will be labeled as already having done this so it's possible game updates/cloud features will be disabled for used games. One way or another publishers are going to be asking MS to do things to make buying used games have a downside, it's just a matter of time until we find out what it will be.

Their are plenty of wonderfully evil women in media, games are just made (and typically written) by mostly doods so its only natural we don't get many where someone truly understands how to make a female antagonist really work. Imo the industry needs to solve the issue of a lack of female protagonists above everything else. It isn't just that we have so few that are decently well realized but the complete lack of them in general is disgusting, Jim Sterling did a fantastic video on the subject not long ago for The Escapist.

Personally I'm more glad the thumbsticks have a much nicer shape to them that will hopefully increase the level of friction. PS1, 2 and 3's were always so smooth and it bugged me.

Oh fuck! FUCK!!! That made me feel more disgusted than the Saw films. I'm... I'm not even sure that people who played the previous games could stomach that. The MGS series has never had grit like that, has it?

Kojima stated he wants to do just that with this one, pushing the boundaries of what people are willing to do/portray in video games to the point he himself fully expects to "upset" some people with this one. It would be nice if more studios were willing to do the same.

Downside of this news is they'll probably spend 99% of their time in an urban area like Melbourne and not come in to contact with a single beasty.
