My SNES games

A mix of regions, so individually labeled.

List items

  • PAL

A great platformer. A bit of self control is needed to see all the game has to offer, because the cape makes a lot of levels far too easy (and you miss out on most of the level in the process).

  • PAL and NTSC-J

Love the art, love the music, and it's quite challenging, too.

  • PAL and NTSC-J

All I ever seem to do when I play this game is get as far as World 5-3, to jump around in the shoe.

  • PAL and NTSC-J

Some claim this to be a perfect game, and I have a hard time disagreeing until I remember Super Metroid exists.

  • PAL and NTSC-J

The best SNES game ever? For sure. Best 16-bit game? Yep. Best 2D game ever made? I think so. The best game of all time?

    Yes.

  • NTSC-J

The 16-bit era of SNES vs. Megadrive really was a golden age for 2D platformers. DKC was an amazing game and still holds up well.

  • NTSC-J

My favourite of the series. Stickerbrush Symphony. Any questions? Didn't think so.

  • PAL

I'm not so big on this one - with neither Donkey nor Diddy in the line-up, it feels a little odd to me.

  • NTSC-U

A simple arcade racer with some great music.

  • PAL

To my knowledge this game never saw a US release. It's such a great game, too. A mix of action and exploration, if you haven't played it, find a way.

  • PAL

My copy is the AU version, which is called Lufia, not Lufia 2, but it is Lufia 2, not Lufia (confusing, I know).

This is such a great game, and pioneering. It's just crammed full of game concepts that I love. The tools used in dungeons are similar to Zelda and Wild Arms. The capsule monster raising is a great concept, too, and reminds me of mag feeding and pokemon. The Ancient Cave is a Mystery Dungeon game. It's just brilliant.

  • PAL

The bug catching game was always good fun, and I liked the music maker, though I'm no TomBobBlender.

  • PAL

I was never very good at it, but it was fun using Shang Tsung to do messed up fatalities, and making up names for the moves based on what it sounded like the characters were saying.

  • NTSC-J

Don't think I've actually played it.

  • PAL

I enjoyed playing this as a kid but didn't own it then - picked it up cheap years later.

  • NTSC-U

Ignore the pic, I have the superior SNES version (better music and controls). The SNES version tok advantage of a superior sound chip that allowed music, FX and voice to all play simultaneously.

  • NTSC-J

Fun in its day, dated now.

  • PAL

Great multiplayer Action RPG. Still fun to play, and the Crystal Chronicles games are spiritual successors to the Mana games.

  • NTSC-J

    Unplayed.

  • PAL and NTSC-J

The best Sim City. Built on the original game with some new ideas, and the music is just so good.

  • NTSC-J

    Insert barrel roll comment here.

  • NTSC-U and NTSC-J

Sequel to the most influential fighting game ever released, with moves added in response to the popularity of the many bootleg arcade boards.

  • PAL

A quirky little racing game that pushed a little too hard and never looked right due to hardware limitations (even with an FX chip).

  • NTSC-J

Uh, it's Bomberman? I've been tempted to fire this game up because I could have sworn my cart had the original Bomberman hidden on it (accessed by resetting the game). Makes me think it's a pirate cart... need to test it.

  • PAL

Lets you play GB games on SNES. Some games have Super Gameboy enhanced features, too.

  • PAL and NTSC-J

A great game but I was never able to beat it.

  • NTSC-J (called Sword Maniac)

Seems like a pretty generic side scrolling action type game.

  • PAL

Has a great 2-player mixed match mode.

  • PAL (called Unirally)

A really fun little racing game, great sense of speed. Split screen racing is always fun.

  • NTSC-U

    Haven't played it.

Impressive, Are the more popular titles eg. metroid and zelda boxed?
