I think uncharted 3 is a better game than 2 and they are my 2 favourite games of this generation of consoles. and @CJduke if you had have played 2 when it came out you would have been expecting the universe with 3, like most people did
Naughty dog should make something new, give uncharted to another developer. Saying that though uncharted 2 and 3 are my favourite games of this generation. No idea why, just absolutely loved them and I play a lot of games, wonder if naughty dog could do the same again with a new IP
For valve being a small company with zero direct focus for their employees whatsoever, its weird how they manage to do so much (release 1-2 top quality games a year, build game engines, run steam which is a massive service, port their games about to different platforms, etc)
Yet their directions to the employees are generally along the lines off "doing something creative, doesn't really matter what"
the more options the better, online only is a bad idea, being able to purchase games in as many ways possible is important, helps get your game out there, etc
hopefully next console has cloud gaming, download to hard drives and discs :)
Is it just me or is the fourth quarter getting crazier every year?
It'll look that way until some publishers realize they don't want to compete against a AAA title (most likely CoD) and push their game into Q1 2013.
then they'll realize they don't want to compete with the Q1 games of each year and move their games into the spring/summer time hopefully as that's always such a dry spell(usually) for games, well with the exception that diablo 3 is next week :)
