Happy for Dan and all of the new/lasting members of the Bomb crew to keep it going and especially happy for Jeff to go out and do his own thing. He seems elated to be able to do his own production and I am going to keep following him wherever he goes.

There's just too much turnover so fast on here for me to keep up with everything on Giant Bomb proper over the past few years. Hope I feel like I want to come back and start listening to the Bombcast again but it might be a while if ever.

Best of luck everyone.

Thanks for everything. Been a loyal duder since the original Whiskey Media days and I just can't shake the feeling that the pandemic has utterly decimated the website in ways I couldn't possibly fathom. So much has changed in recent years and it's sad that it has come to this to a website I've held so close to my heart for over a decade.

Thanks for the memories and loads of content you have supplied us with. I will never forget the memories of how Giant Bomb effectively saved games media and revolutionized long-form content on the internet dedicated to games.

Good luck to whoever is going to be attempting to replace Jeff, because it won't be easy. I will no wish ill-will on anybody else who is going to take the reigns of the site but I can safely say that without Jeff at the helm, it's not a place I see myself continuing to be at.

Here's hoping Giant Bomb continues to prosper to whatever it is soon to become, even if I myself will no longer be checking in consistently.

@matthewrl: Never would have guessed, but also not at all surprised, that BMX XXX is what put Giant Bomb studio content to rest.

I came here looking for the Photoshop Brad requested to be made for the thumbnail (I still listen to the audio version exclusively). I was sorely disappointed it was not the picture!

But thank you very much @zeetos that is exactly what I was hoping to see coming to the comments.

They're making way too many excuses for this heap. What a disgrace of the property and legacy of the eccentric MVC with this dull, lifeless game that looks like it's from the last generation.

I'd like both, honestly. Both audio and video for this seems like a good idea.

I'd hate to lose the video of Jar Time because that's what it was originally exclusive for, but having a podcast release would be cool on the Premium feed so I can pick it up and listen to the rest later.

I have to agree with some of the negative comments: this was a pretty weak video especially compared to the prior Demo Derby videos and their brilliance.

Keep in mind that I look forward to the bimonthly Demo Derby video, it is my absolute favorite piece of content on the site as it focuses on the era of gaming I loved the most (mid PS1-early PS2) and I think it's one of the most original pieces of content they have on here. I grew up on demo discs and find the treasure trove of content in these are usually astounding, especially the old behind-the-scenes videos.

That being said, I feel like this one was amateur in its execution: the audio issues are very beneath Giant Bomb's quality standards and I feel pretty underwhelmed by the video as a whole. In past videos that were dearth in content like this, they would have two in one. The audio issues are VERY bad in this video and it's unlike Giant Bomb to have published content with audio levels this off. It was a little underwhelming and I likely won't be watching it again like I have with all prior Demo Derby videos. It isn't ALL their fault either, because the content of this disc was pretty lame to begin with.

But, I didn't mind the "BALLERS!" meme because, hell, the video was swamped with it! Anyone else find it very odd they would base a demo disc around a game there is no playable demo for? I think that's completely asinine.

Also, I think that Dan was integral to these videos and while the addition of Jeff made it the best piece of content on the site for me, Dan not being around for these doesn't quite work that well in my opinion. I like Ben but him and Jason don't really seem to work as a team in terms of chemistry and it shows in this video.

(I actually liked Brad, Jeff, and Ben together in that one they did post-Drew), so while Drew and Dan are sorely missed, I think this video just wasn't all that great because of the video issues and it lacked content, length, and I just don't think Ben and Jason are very good paired up together. I know Brad likely wasn't in to record this one but I think it should be Jeff, Brad, and Ben from now on in these videos. Or maybe Jason? Or hell, let GBE do this too! Dan and Alex would be tremendous at these.
