No game this year stuck in my mind so vividly/ When anyone asked me what my favorite game of the year was I knew instantly. From the way it revoloutionised the stealth genre to the amazing story filled with big setpieces and tight controls this is a game I still go back and play as often as I can.

I wasn't really too fussed about playing another Assassin's Creed game...untill I started playing Brotherhood, I was hooked instantly. They improved on everything that needed to be improved upon and filled the world with so much stuff to do. I hate collectibles but this game didn't go over the top with a bagillion flags. I will deffinatly be returning to complete this game 100%

Mass Effect 2 was brilliant. the story was amazing and the universe rich with things to explore and amazing characters to meet. I still need to finish my second playthrough on insane (which is insane by the way) but this is a game I am still playing nearly a year after it's release.

Halo: Reach is the perfect Halo game. With an amazing campain, multiplayer and the return of Firefight this game will easily carry me through untill the next inevitable entry in the series.

Alan Wake is unique. There is no other game like this out there, fact. From its gripping story and the uniqe light agains dark mechanics this is an amazing game that deffinatly deserved to see the light of day.

I don't play pc games, the last pc game I playedto a decnt extent was Warcraft 3. Hearing the buzz though I had to check out Starcraft 2 and man was I in for a shock. This game blew me away. So much so that I went and got a new laptop that could run it better. Totally worth it.

Fable 3 may not have been what a lot of people were looking for, it may have had a few bad design choices made for it and yes, the ending sucked. Having said that this was a game that when I was sat at work all I could think was 'man I wish I was playing Fable III.' It was a game that I poured many hours in to and I'm not done yet.

So this is the best Transformers game ever. Noth saying much but this game is incredible. I thank them for not putting in a cover mechanic because it makes this game stand out. If you felt it neded a cover mechanic then you obviously forgot about the main point of the game; you can tranform into a vehicle. this gives it a very unique twist and yes it was short on ammo but with 2 great campains, a multiplayer mode and a wave based attack mode this was a game that put a smile on my face thinking yes yes yes.

I wouldn't recomend this game. I also wouldn't recomend too human. Neither of them are great games but I put way more time than I should have. The reason Nier makes this list is because of it's amazing story and the combat it fun when it's not broken. Seriously if you want a game with a good story play this. you will not be dissapointed.

Need For Speed is really a burnout game in drag. Need I say more? okay then, go buy it, it's amazing.
