Code name 47 is still my best experience, because when it came out it was just unlike anything else. Bloody Money was cool though, not going to pick it up though, still got Hitman 2 to play!
I'm sure nobody will ever see this, because why would they.
But this game was/is fantastic - I had it on the Atari ST, probably not the best version of it. For a game made in the 80s it seemed to have everything, multiple different game-modes/activities, along the line of The Oregon Trail, fantastic artwork and the line battles were fun, although somewhat short lived. Also. Weather!
Anyone else play this when it came out? This game broke our Atari serial port because the mouse was never plugged in (A Master System controller or a joy stick was), and required for N&S, so it always had to be plugged in, the Atari ST was not built to last.
I'm also amazed this game hasn't been mentioned/played somewhere along the way, maybe it wasn't popular in the states?
I landed, I got all my stuff I needed, looked at the circle, guessed where it would end, I was right, stayed in a house until the very last circle, walked outside, last guy was right outside with his back to me, I shot him.
The problem with these polls is most people didn't play them when they came out because they weren't born or they weren't old enough, and I think that makes a huge difference. I've played all the home based console Zelda games since Zelda II and nothing beats Ocarina; everything about it is fantastic. It's hard to compare it to BotW because they're such vastly different games - They do compare well on one thing though, they're both the least hand-holdy of the modern Zelda games.
A couple of months ago I played Ocarina on an emulator for a few hours and it doesn't hold up that great, but that's exactly what I mean, unless you played these games when they came out, it's going to be tough to pick anything in an honest way because like I said, Ocarina doesn't hold up on controls alone but I know it was amazing when it came out.
Same for a Link's Awakening on the Game Boy, that's my favourite 2D Zelda, I honestly think it's better than a Link to the Past, I still have no idea how they managed to output such awesome music on such a tiny device - but ask someone to go and play that now and they're going to think it's crap.
in the UK it took around 7 days, I have a pro controller so made little difference
Wow! I wish I had the same experience as you in the UK - Nintendo UK took 27 (Twenty-Seven!) days to reply to my repair request and then had my JoyCon for 31 days. I ended up buying a Pro Controller, kind of glad I did, it's great - But Nintendo UK are awful and always have been, even back to the Snes days they were terrible for support requests.
Yeah, I think it will. I've played for about a total of one and a half hours during the server stability test punch and although I've decided it isn't for me and I almost certainly won't be buying it.... it feels like Nintendo are putting their all into it both development and marketing wise, which will hopefully transform into a well performing game. They also have the console install base and starvation of new games on their side.
Yeah. The game totally isn't for me but it seems great.
