I'm excited to see how Prince of Persia influences the Game of the Year awards race now.  I bet it will win Art Direction awards almost unanimously, but I have a hard time envisioning it receiving an actual GotY.  I don't think the media outlets are that daring.

Alright! This has been the year of disappointment for me, and I'm glad to hear PoP is good. Sounds right up my alley, I'm glad I reserved it. I can't wait.

From the video review: " The Prince you control in the beginning is the same Prince you control in the end." He compared it to SotC in the text, as well. I'm more excited now, I love it when games don't rely on new ideas from the player, not new tools in the game, for the player.

Yeah, Prince went emo in the second installment, but the gameplay was WAY better than Sands of Time.  Warrior Within is still my favorite of the three just because the combat was fucking great.  I just hated hearing Godsmack in the game.  lol  Two Thrones...well, I could've done without the Dark Prince stuff, but it helped create a much-needed split in the Prince to show that no man can be just good.

I'm really looking forward to checking this one out.

looking forward to this game now. you know i heard good things about sands of time and warrior within but never played them the last PoP game i admittedly played was the first one on pc in the early 90's

I really want to play this game. The Art looks great and all the acrobatic stuff sounds wicked to do. Although I never really had prior experience with the Sands of Time trilogy though, but I'm sure that's not going to make much of a difference.

No difference at all, except maybe just understanding how the flow of the game works and the rhythm. You can pick that up though while playing. Plus even the controls are different this time around.

So just because you choose to name some of the 'bigger' releases, it automatically means they were all excellent for everyone who played them right? This makes no sense what so ever. Regardless of how decent to good some of the games you name here are, nearly all of them disappointed in some way, especially the really hyped up ones, that (big surprise) of course couldn't live up to the hype people put them under, because its just not possible, but no one seems to understand that.

I could dispute this but I'm finding no reason to defend a non-existent review of Yahtzee... We can just wait for the actual review...
