I'm a big fan of Drew as well. I'm also super bummed that he's leaving but super stoked for whatever he does next. Good luck ultimate dude bro.

This is fascinating timing because I literally just watched all eight movies again. This was one series where the statement "the books were better" is completely true.

But that isn't a knock on the quality of the movies. The books are just fantastic, and the movies are some of the best adaptations I have ever seen.

So yes, they're worth the watch.

Might be due to the fact that I absolutely don't care about this game, and thus I hadn't been following it, but my brain sort of spasmed seeing it spelled out as Yooka Laylee.

Also, they really screwed up on their female characters models. The male models look like the actors playing them, but the female ones look terrible. The actress who plays Ryder is quite pretty, the model though...

@bigsocrates: If Leviathan had been part of the main game, I maintain that people's impressions of Mass Effect 3 would have been very different. It was the revelatory moment and new bit of lore that was missing from ME3s base game, and it would have added that extra bit of epic.

They shot themselves in the foot by releasing it separately.

I've purchased a total of 100 boxes across the two events. I essentially got every skin that I wanted plus enough currency to buy what I didn't get.

Was it a wise use of money? No. But was I happy I got every Widowmaker skin and the Halloween Mercy? Yeah.

@creazd: They refer to Jeff as Jeff Gershman on that site which cracks me up.

@zevvion: @slag: I would argue that the Switch controller is anything but standard considering the roughly 10 different configurations you can interact with the system with. And the idea of sliding off and on these two joycons seems terrible.

If the system was just something like a larger Vita that had the controls built in but also came with a dock that would transfer your game to the TV, I would be stoked right now. But they always have to make everything needlessly complicated.

I would have been significantly more excited for the Switch if it was essentially what you're saying. A portable system with built in controls; akin to a slightly larger Vita, with a docking port that allowed it to be played on a TV.

All this Joycon removable Motion control nonsense really makes me hate the direction Nintendo chose to go.
