MW2 was actually the first FPS game I've bought on a modern console (Fallout 3 doesn't really count).  Even while being pretty new to the controls, I played through Veteran difficulty rather quickly after first playing it on Normal.  Seems like it's all about taking cover/playing smart.

I never actually bothered to unlock the AC130 because I've been using the Chopper Gunner.  I've used the AC130 a few times but I find I prefer the Chopper Gunner

I've seen a few 10th prestiges out there.  That's insanely sad if they got them legitimately... well it's sad if they didn't as well. 

TL;DR Version:  OP hates MW2

Mine is 25.  Although now I just run around with an Uzi and dual Rangers trying my best to knife everybody, so I don't expect anything higher than 25.

I actually got a 25 kill streak but didn't have the nuke unlocked... then I died. :(

Eh, the multiplayer isn't too bad, although I 'll agree that the game is pretty much a campfest.  I've been playing the Bad Company 2 Beta on the PS3 and let me tell you, the game is fantastic.  Even though there's only one map to be played in the beta, I'm really looking forward to March. 
 
I like all the leveling up and unlocks in CoD, which is the main reason I keep playing it.  It is starting to get somewhat stale though.  I also got my first 25 kill streak only to not have the nuke unlocked :(
