I am writing about my top 5 films ever.

5. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

Renowned archeologist and expert in the occult, Dr. Indiana Jones, is hired by the U.S. Government to find the Ark of the Covenant, which is believed to still hold the ten commandments.

If Lucas is Raiders' guts and Kasdan its head, then Spielberg is its beating heart because this film is intense. 7.5/10

4. Iron Man

Tony Stark is a mechanical genius, playboy businessman and CEO of a major weapons manufacturer whose family motto is, "Peace means having a bigger stick". But when a trip to Afghanistan goes explosively wrong, he's mortally wounded and captured by Talibanish baddies. So he hatches a hi-tech escape plan, which also gives birth to his ironclad, wrong-righting alter ego...

It's not sure where to go once the final Iron Man suit is constructed, and seems in a rush to get there, but Downey Jr and the supporting cast are so perfectly placed we're already looking forward to the bound-to-be-better sequel. 8/10

3. Tropic Thunder

A bunch of movie stars shooting a Vietnam war movie are dropped off in a real-life jungle to offset the escalating budget. It's not long before guerrilla filmmaking turns into genuine guerrilla warfare.

There are moments of comedy grandeur, this is consistently funny thoughout.Downey Jr.'s Kirk Lazarus is instantly up there with the comedy greats. 8.5/10

2. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Princess Leia is held hostage by the evil Imperial forces in their effort to take over the Galactic Empire. Venturesome Luke Skywalker and dashing Captain Han Soloteam together with the lovable robotic duo, R2-D2 and C-3PO, to rescue the beautiful princess and restore justice in the Empire.

A product of its time, certainly, but like the myths that informed it, Star Wars will outlive the lot of us. 9/10

1. Hangover

Comedy set during the morning after the night before as three friends go in search of a missing groom-to-be after his bachelor party in Las Vegas gets out of hand

The film begins with a prologue that swiftly introduces us to the characters and set-up. Two days before his wedding, Doug (Justin Bartha) heads to Vegas with two best pals - cynical high-school teacher Phil (Bradley Cooper) and under-the-thumb dentist Stu (Ed Helms) - for one final blowout. Along for the ride is Alan (Zach Galifianakis), Doug's misfit soon-to-be brother-in-law. Arriving in Vegas, these merry men soon get the party started - only for the film to deliberately miss out on the action and cut to the carnage the day after.

When they come to, Stu is missing a tooth. Phil has a medical band on his wrist suggesting an unexplained hospital visit. There's a tiger in the bathroom and a baby in the closet. Worse still, they can't find Doug.

Consistently funny, The Hangover proves you don't need a big-name Hollywood cast to get big laughs. This film has all the comedy values for everyone, go and see and see this it is amazing 9.9/10
