@IBurningStar: Well it would make sense if Bungie was working with Blizzard as Blizzard takes 200 years to release a game. So if Bungie was doing the heavy lifting and Blizzard supplying tech for the MMo side of the coin they might be able to release this game in a decent time frame.

Seeing as Blizzard is super stretched (Diablo III, WoW, and the new Starcraft IIs) Bungie taking the initial idea for an MMOFPS from Blizzard and going off that base would make sense.

@IBurningStar: Where is it rumored about Blizzard working on an FPS? And that two punch combo would be awesome: Bliazzard knows MMOs and Bungie knows FPS....

@CookieMonster: As a Bungie fanboy I would be interested, plus there aren't many MMOFPS games out there.

I know thats what I'm saying, Kotick really wants a subscription based FPS so if Destiny is what the rumors say it is then its likely it will be subscription based.

Continuing the discussion on the Bombcast over the Activision lay offs and their business model I present the evidence of their next big thing:

BUNGIE

Clearly everyone has heard that Activision owns the rights to publish Bungie's new IP for the next ten years, but up until now we have had no clue what that new IP would be. According to a rumor story on Kotaku from this morning the new IP (known as Destiny) will be a MMO-FPS (Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter). Which if Bobby Kotick's ideas of subscriptionizing COD is anything to go off of, Destiny will be a subscription based game.

Whether this is a good thing or bad thing is a different story, but what this shows is that Activision is likely going to stick to the same business it has in the past: find something hott, get it, and make $. However, because Bungie owns the rights to the IP a situation like Infinity Ward won't happen, which is some good news.

Does a game's DLC review scores effect its actual score?

" I think that if a person truly is a believer of the religion that they claim, it can offer an interesting insight into his character or at least part of his belief system.  I am a born again Baptist by faith but I don't vote based on religion as I am not voting for a pastor I am voting for a President.  I do think certain things come from religion like morality.  Example:  IF you are a Christian then you really shouldn't support abortion at all, no matter what people try and tell themselves.  IF you come out as pro-choice then you either don't really believe your religion or you don't let it effect your decision making.  If religion didn't matter then let me see someone come out as a satanist , Muslism, or any other taboo religion.  For argument sakes, a lot of people think Mitt Romney's religion (Mormonism) is what really kept him from getting the GOP nomination in the last presidential election. "

Wow really culturally sensitive, Islam is a "taboo religion".

We were talking about the Borgias and I happened to say "ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh" outloud. He responded with laughter and said "shank style".   Downright amazing.
