I've always been struck at the difference between what an avatar looks like in a generator and what they look like in engine (To be clear I haven't seen EvE's generator). It can be really offputting if you decide to take some extra care and attention and get something which just does not look as cool!
With CQ, now that you can actually see your full avatar, it's the same as in the creator. If you've ever played APB, it's kind of like that minus being able to do anything useful with your avatar.
TBH, noobs buying ships and sp and items just means people who can't really use them coming to nullsec. More noobs for us to slaughter, no real impact on gameplay.
PVP is fun, if you're willing to put in a couple months of boredom. All you really need is a good pvp corp and a bc with meta fittings to be useful.
