nah, I feel like fritz von erich and gagne (and maybe someone else who I have on the tip of my tongue but can't remember) were worse in that regard, just never quite reached the same level of success.

in terms of people still living, though, vince tops the list by a wide wide wide margin.

EDIT: oh right the people who run AAA now are probably up there as well, if only because of how petty and litigious they seem to be.

@hunkulese: i have no idea what they're actually trying to accomplish at this point, but it's exactly what i expect them to do. orton is their center for this angle. bray will be back to looking like a stooge within the year.

luke harper wins the battle royal, orton reinserts himself into the title match under the guise of helping bray retain - making it a triple-threat, bray eats an rko, and orton wins the title.

people buying into the "orton giving up his title shot" thing at all is absurd.

@hunkulese the only real alternative i could see them going for is orton vs. cena in the year of our lord 2017 and i really hope that isn't what happens.

orton vs. wyatt isn't super exciting - and it's pretty lopsided, considering how badly wyatt has looked for his past, like, ninety years of too-long, terribly boring feuds - but at least it's comparatively new.

it's all probably still going to be terrible regardless, but cena and orton for the hundredth time would be so impossibly tone deaf, especially after the last few years, that i don't even want to entertain the possibility. then again, i always want to give the wwe slightly more credit then they've ever deserved (tend to give wrestling as a whole more credit than it's ever deserved tbh).

but on the upside at least i'm already basically the... champion of sorcery... or whatever.

i mean, i get it, there's the formality of the tiebreaker and everything. gotta be nice to the folks that participated and all - gotta make it seem competitive for the fans at home!

but we all know who really won the rumble. i entered at number 13 to give everyone else a small chance and i still won it all. i beat unlucky number 13. i beat the odds. i beat superstition. i beat everyone.

i know it's been repeated ad nauseam, but the full sail crowd is really the absolute worst thing.

even separated from what nxt has been like as a show recently (mediocre), this seems like the weakest a takeover card has been in a while. all the matches have potential, but it doesn't seem like there are any guarantees this time around.

or he just needs some time off and decided to do it in a way that furthers some kind of story line down the road. no matter what happened, i doubt his attitude would shift entirely in the course of a day. i feel like it's unnecessary to read into it so much right now.
