@alex What is the name of that UE4 trailer your talking about, I wanna check it out.

Edit:

I think I found it here!

Man, that game looks to be right up my alley. The One is my platform of choice though, I'd have no qualms about getting it on there day one if such a thing was to happen. Thanks for linking the trailer.

As someone who enjoyed Mars: War Logs for what it was, I really want to play this game. I love me a good/decent sci-fi RPG and can look past some rough edges. It's a full price game on consoles though, if it was just about twenty dollars cheaper I'd be more willing to jump in. Maybe sometime this holiday.

When it comes to tastes in games Jeff and I usually don't see eye to eye (except for the few times when we do, Syndicate was dope and had awesome co-op) and that's totally fine. Usually what I look for in his reviews if the game is totally broken or has some other really bad elements that were hidden from marketing materials.

As far as I can tell, Quantum Break is a Remedy game, it seems to have okay shooting (the shooting in Alan Wake wasn't great either but I still loved that game) with time powers and has that type of attitude and style you come to expect from Remedy with a TV show thrown in. I can't speak for anyone else but I could go for a story focused shooter right now that has some cool sci-fi themes and that Remedy flair. The world isn't awash with these type of narrative focused shooters as they use to be (the campaigns for Battlefield and Call of Duty no longer really do it for me) so I can forgive some short comings just to have some fun and do some time shenanigans.

I like Remedy's style, their last outings in the two Alan Wake games are some of my favorite games. I do hope though that whatever Remedy's next project is that they get back on point with making the shooting in their games being strong points again. There's a reason why those first two Max Payne games were so well liked.

I'm going to pet every animal that this game allows me to pet after fresh murder sprees. This game looks alright though, I'm up for Ubi putting the Far Cry series into weird and unusual settings but they are pushing into AC territory of poisoning the well with just too many damn games in a short amount of time.

Once this game drops down in price a little or I just straight up have nothing to play I could see myself getting into this and pet some animals while murdering dudes.

Today is my birthday and Brad is at the helm of a stealth game, this is a pretty excellent gift Giantbomb. Let's see what Brad's Big Book of Stealth has to say about all this.

As someone who has started playing Phantom Pain this month, I'm fine with it winning number one and wished I played it last year. The moment to moment gameplay in that game is so well crafted and fun, I greatly enjoy games that give you a lot of options to tackle things. For me the loop of putting dudes to sleep with my tranq gun, D-Dog stun knifing fools and sneaking up on outposts like a ghost is so damned satisfying. Glad to see my game of the year Life is Strange at least got into the top ten.

I wish Dying Light was a bit higher, I wouldn't say top ten but that game deserves better considering how great it turned out. I'm also surprised by how high Fallout 4 was, I love the series to death but Fallout 4 was probably the most disappointing game of the year for me.

I also wonder if anybody put in Revelations 2 on their list, I liked that game well enough to give it some props. I also figured the other game on my list (Zombi) wouldn't show up since it's a port of a three year old game, but hey that game was fun.
