About Me

I was born in Gdansk (Northern Poland) but have lived for the majority of my life abroad (the UK, Sweden, Denmark) and am currently residing/working in Denmark. I am a Psychologist working in the private sector, in a specialized field dedicated to Cognitive Ergonomics (a field frequently lending concepts from the world of video games). I have written numerous articles about the positive influence of video games, the importance of recognition of ground braking concepts found in video games (especially one's that could be potentially applied to Psychology of Engineering - such as many of the features in mini-maps in games), but also about the positive reinforcement in the development of IQ levels due to frequent exposure to FPS and RTS games.
My romance with games began during the late 80's, during the third generation of consoles, and I have been a video game enthusiast ever since. My interest in video games has proven to be contagions; my girlfriend started playing games nearly half a year ago. My video game library consists of 48 titles - ranging from N64, the PSP and PS2 and Xbox, to the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I am a huge FPS/TPS and Racing genere fan although I frequently play other game generes too. I own a Mac and hence I do not play PC games and the idea of gaming on a PC is alien to me.
