@Devil240Z: PS3 takes a standard 2.5" sata drive I'm not sure if there is a limit on capacity, if there was one I would imagine it woud be 2TB and once they become widely availble the firmware could be modified by sony to fix that, but there is a restriction on physical size in that you can't fit a taller than 9.5mm drive in without cutting away at the case etc. If you can find a 1TB drive short enough it would be a safe bet. If you wanted to go crazy you could use a desktop sized hard drive sitting out side your PS3 but you would need an adapter and a separate powersupply as the current draw of a full sized disk would be too much for the PS3.
@Binman88: With out wanting to sound like a sales man, thats why you need to join my merry band of brothers! You woud no longer have to keep track, daily you would just have to mark the five cards that you send out.
... Although, there was some consistent bad manners driving going around that may or may not be beneficial to point out, since it could be a case of not knowing what your doing unless someone points it out to you, and that driver wasn't actually racing with malicious intent. I may be called an Asshole for that, but it wouldn't be the first time, so I'll just the risk that the people on the forum would see it as an eye opening experience to learn from, not I'm trying to make you look bad. Somebody stop me before I finish recording the raw footage if its without a doubt just a bad idea because nobody can accept a bit of criticism. "
First:
I Love Pictures! No seriousy I've tried to take pictures and I get annoyed missing as shoot in the first coupe of minutes and give up. If I could capture video I would probably give it a go but I probably wouldn't finish it, so thank you for your efforts week in week out.
Second:
We are all racing together for the shit and giggles, I believe most of the bumps are just what happens when you shove people with mixed abillities together on the race track, there are exceptions. Personally I would rather you pointed out anything you felt was untoward I did rather than hold a grudge and not say anything. It is more healthy that way and we all might learn from it, or I might point out why I did what I did and we all might learn from that, either way it is better than keeping it bottled and chewing away on your insides. Hopefully the same applies for everyone else. I'm not saying lets codify race night, that would ruin the night for me, but sure lets give feedback, vent frustration, as long as the feedback isn't so and so is a arse wipe etc.
@StaticFalconar: I was worried that might of been the case. You could try renameing the folder BCES00569-RPL004 in SAVEDATA to match the disc id for your region (To find that out copy your game save from the ps3 to the same card/stick and look at its foldername to get the disc id change the name replacing the BCES00569 in BCES00569-RPL004 to YOURDISKID-RPL004 I haven't tried it but it shoudn't do any harm. If you want you can send me a US replay file and I'll see if I can get it working over here first.
@StaticFalconar: Oh wonderfull, looks like I've found a bug in what ever software your using to unzip the zip file. Rename it so it no longer has the ' in the file name and it should be fine.
In case that doesn't work and the zip program I used compressed it in such a way that what ever your using didn't understand here is another version.
@Vlad_the_implier: Nifty PM me a list of the number of cards you have for each maker (I.E. the list of numbers down the right hand side of the museum page in GT5) The numbers on their own will do.
@Vlad_the_implier: Cool, you can only trade 1 car/gift ticket a day and I have trades booked up until the 23rd maybe 24th (Depending on if a fellow on GTP pulls a digit out of his rectum in to get back to me in time) so if you can wait till I'll send you a ticket on the earliest date I can send it. You can only send 5 museum cards a day so feel free either to start sending them now, or a day early (22nd)
And once this trade is done do you want to join out cult/collective of people who are going to complete each others museum cards collections, look at my long rambling post above for a bady worded description...
@Red12b: sorry I missed this conversation I had already go through al this sending a replay to Binman could of sent you a quick howto. @StaticFalconar: If you want multiple points of few I might as we upload my Monza replay as well you can download it here (Silly real life getting in the way)
And rough instructions: And extract it to the root of a memory stick/sd card etc that will work in your PS3 you will end up with a folder (say your sd-card is your H drive) H:\PS3\SAVEDATA\ shove it into the PS3 open the Save Data Util (PS3) in the game menu of the XMB and choose copy. They start GT5 open the reply theatre. at the bottom left above the search sort button is the import button click that and you should be good to replay the race.
The file seems a bit bigger than previous times I've done it so you might end up with some bonus races or something! (But probably just that is was a longer race)
