I think I liked it overall, but the last 5 hours I really did not have a good time with. The framework around the story is the best it's ever been in one of these, and the presentation is fantastic. My Kara and Alice got executed at the bus stop because that section is so poorly designed that my friend and I couldn't figure out anything to do other than go talk to the police, which really rubbed me the wrong way. Definitely more than a few instances of "that is not at all what I thought that dialogue choice was going to be", but overall pretty good writing and acting (no goofy accents)

X is the one that speaks to my heart. I mean, even if it was just "To Zanarkand" that would still be my pick.

Completely depends on the movie. I'd have to see a sample and tell yo.

Why root against anything like this? Does Fortnite succeeding hurt you in any way? It's OK to not like it, or even think that it stepped over a line, but I think you're taking it too far.

@laner: I'm not sure if you mean in this particular podcast or in GOTY overall, but Prey was a candidate for Best Moment, and was talked about quite fondly (the intro, at least)

C'mon man, Horizon did not get "shafted" and it had nothing to do with Dream Daddy. The people who liked Horizon the most when it first came out (Jeff and Dan) were the ones who were least passionate about it, and they articulated that very clearly.

I personally love it, but I have no problem with them not including it, because (as they stated several times) the experience just didn't stick with them like other games did.

I'm really digging Nier so far. Have made it through ending B so far.

I think it's a mix of both. Some games are a time and place for you, like, "this is the first game I beat on my own, and even though it doesn't hold up now, it still holds a really special place in my heart"
