Focus on getting your party member's social links maxed asap. Most of them lose their weaknesses once their persona evolves.

Don't use Kanji and Chie in the same party. They're built to be physical attackers, despite what Kanji's move list would tell you.

Normally when watching someone play an rpg walking around and talking to all the npcs gets dull and makes you want to fast forward. Here it's interesting to see Ryan take an interest in the setting this quickly plus the dialogue is Ted Woolsey at his finest. I just hope they get a handle on the kind of enemy gimmicks this game can throw at you because some of them are unexpected for an snes era rpg like this.

Either play the snes/wii version or the ds version. The ds version has the ps1 anime scenes and unlockables plus a couple of sidequests that lead up to the sequel a bit. Note that while the ds version's translation is more accurate to the original japanese script, it's almost too accurate. Dull, like it was run through a machine. The snes one is 16 bit era translation at it's finest, take that how you will.

Either way, I would recommend avoiding the psn/ps1 version unless you have absolutely no other choice. The load times are really REALLY bad (have fun waiting five seconds or so for a menu or each fight to load) and they add up quickly. No, wait, I remember that the first form of the final boss on the psn version will lag to the point of near unplayability.

I shook my head a bit when I first heard about it til I found out this duo hasn't really played the game before. Well, one did in another era. I can see it popping up on Christmas or New Years Eve.

"Happy Holidays, folks. I'm Ryan."

"And I'm Patrick."

"While everyone else is out on vacation, we're here playing Chrono Trigger."

"We have ambitious plans to continue this franchise going forward. Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things: a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we'd provide for Commander Shepard, but it's also a brand new beginning - it's an entry point for new fans."

Translation: EA wants us to end this with a sequel hook and shoehorn in some unfinished stories to make people buy more of this series. Sorry we couldn't actually end it like we intended.

For the 360? Earth Defense Force 2017.

For the ps3? Valkyria Chronicles.

Emulating the 16 bit systems? The Firemen (EU), snes.

If the social part of the game (adding neighbors, visiting other farms, item trading) wasn't so bugged up the cuss it would probably be affect the game quite a bit.

The only significant downside is that you NEED a gamepad for this to reliably control the camera. On a positive note, it's one of the few games where mixing 2d sprites and 3d environments somehow doesn't look like crap (the sprites actually look pretty nice).

This would be awesome if it turned out to be its own game instead of a wow expansion. (the true identity of Project Titan?)

Capcom lied. Megaman died.
