I don't order gear from the store very often because the shipping to Australia is steep, but the tracksuit, GB mug and the college hoodie should be winging their way to me soon! I wear my Old Games tshirt all the time, was very happy with the quality.
I felt like Abby's apology (I did take it as an apology) seemed really sincere, it must suck to be unwittingly taken advantage of by a seemingly shitty person. This is me reading into things obviously but Abby seemed quite affected for a little while afterwards and took a bit to warm back up to her regular bubbly self. I genuinely felt for her, and I feel for people affected by the kinds of shitty people they are trying to avoid having on the show even as I understand that it is impossible for me to truly effectively appreciate just how they are affected.
Mary Kish and Rhiana were great last week, I hope they get to come back and be on the show again. Organisations DEDICATED to background checking individuals can and often do miss or have nasty people slip through, so expecting a crew like Giant Bomb to have a 100% win rate there is just unrealistic and i'm glad to hear them looking to continue to do their best.
I think people concerned about the '$100 disc drive' should look at it more as the discless version is highly discounted. Sony likely would love for both prices to be a lot higher, but they pretty much had to get that discless one as low as they could go.
I know it's mental gymnastics, but you're not paying more than you should for the disc version, the other one just got lower because it had to. Kinda.
I have a 2080 Ti (which i've had since it launched, built a new system right around then). Seems daft to upgrade that, especially given how expensive it was, but at some point I may well hand this system down to the kids and build a new one. Might give that 12-18 months though (so I guess I might wait until the 40 series) and look for an upgrade from 1440p to a high refresh 4K/HDR monitor at the same time too.
I've never played Bloodborne (or any Souls game), mostly because i'm a gamer who is easily frustrated and am a bit worried i'll suck, have a hissy fit and not get very far. But i'm getting very close to trying it out, I do kind of want to see if I can work my way into mastering it (and myself).
Having said that, i'd love to play a remastered version on PC if there was one Sony...
Oh my god, I can't believe Dan hasn't seen Karate Kid! They should do a Film & 40s for all four movies (yes, they should do The Next Karate Kid) and introduce Dan to them. Right up his alley!
Another 'I'm with Jeff'. I felt his frustration here, deeply. Best World to me, like a lot of other people who have commented, says best world building. Pyre, Horizon, Yakuza and AC Origins are games I've played this year that all have amazing worlds and world building. Listening to them go around in circles while Jeff appeared more and more dejected eventually became a bit of a bummer.
Not that I want to knock the content too much though, still loving GOTY overall!
