I don't get it. Is he trying to force his Nazi agenda into the game?

Most of you don't know what dubstep is. Skrillex is not dubstep in the least.

There are two basic ideas that need to go away.

One is that the line of life goes high school -> four-year degree -> job. Several parts of that aren't the sure things they were for a couple years, and that model doesn't fit all people. High school should be different, but it should certainly be necessary. However, what people do after high school should be a lot more flexible. Trade schools need to be bolstered, and they need to not be perceived as being better or worse than other post-secondary educations.

However, on the other hand, we need to stop telling people there's no inherent value to a liberal arts education. That implies that art has no value, and if we as a society start to say that art has no value, we're done.

Short answer: School is needed, but in a different form from how it is right now.

One can learn about art in his own free time, with the only requirement being a library card. For the sciences however you need to go to a building and have structure to provide you with the laboratory and other work which you can not just find outside of your house. There is value in it's education but there is no value in getting a degree for it or it wasting space in a faculty.

To what kind of shitty college/program do you go to ? I'd like to see you try to pull that shit off in chemical engineering.

Anyway in countries where the top Unis are state-owned, it is quite useless to have humanities/social sciences faculties opened. I mean the state pays for your education and in return gets a person who will have trouble finding a job and put the money poured into him to use. In countries where most good Unis are private it is pretty dumb of you too pay for a shitty program with little prospects anyway, but it's your money.

So no, college (with real study programs and not stuff like history) is far from useless, it gives you a base understanding of a field that you will likely work in, and presents you the tools you will likely use in your job.

Concerning HS though, It was a complete waste of time to attend classes, there were only 2 teachers who actually taught you anything, for the rest of the calsses it was just you and the books which you could be learning from instead of going to HS, it was just a huge fucking waste of time.

If you are serious about it (and that is a huge if) then Mandarin definitely has quite the prospects. I have no idea why people voted for Japanese or any other language because clearly Mandarin would have the most use in the future out of those languages.

@AlexW00d: Thanks for the back up there. Obviously missed everything I said about eating healthy and tracking nutritional stats for every single meal. Been doing that for years.

@Mageman: @blueduck: Also been body building for good time now so I'd like to think I know a little more than most. Certainly not as much as some; I have several body building idols and they know pretty much everything you need to know about workout regimes, muscle structure, diets etc.

I know enough to know that when someone refers to metabolism speeds they don't actually only mean how fast your body digests. The phrase 'fast metabolism' (especially when used in the body building community) usually refers to how your body quickly rejects certain nutrients instead of storing them. An Ectomorph is commonly referred to as a 'hard gainer' because their metabolism seems to get rid of a lot nutrients that would help the person put on weight. This is why Ectomorphs are slim...

No Caption Provided

This is why to this very day, my workout regime is focused on short high intensity workouts, very little cardio training and ample rest periods. My diet is also governed by my natural build; very high calorie (see: caloric surplus) but still incredibly healthy and typically also fast digesting - when you struggle to put on weight you need fast digesting food as it obviously allows you to eat more meals. 5-6 healthy high calorie meals a day, and high intensity 3-day split workout... has it worked? Yes, it has.

I apologise to BlueDuck if it seemed as though I was posting from a "I can't gain anything" point of view, as that is not at all true. I have had great gains in both muscle and weight (due to muscle weighing more than fat) over the years. As this thread is focused on users who consider themselves overweight, I just wanted to post a comment from a Ectomorph angle showing that some of us are on the flip side.

Anyway, I want to again end this message with a good luck to the people participating... Good Luck Duders!!!

Those samotypes are pretty much pseudoscience or a myth if you will, you can ask any biology professor that (in America however they can still be sometimes seen as part of their fat acceptance propaganda but mostly in HS or so I have been told). Nourishments still have to follow the laws of the human body, which can not vary so much that someone could claim to be genetically at a huge disadvantage (unless that person has a certain disease). They don't count calories and that is the whole point. They think they eat a lot but they don't know they do. You can simply not weasel yourself out of the laws of thermodynamics by saying that your body throws away certain ''nutrients''. I'd like to see them stay skinny when they are eating 2 jars of peanut butter and a gallon of milk a day + their usual meals, accompanied by a strength program.

There is nothing worse than hipsters watching a cartoon ironically and then make the miasma spread everywhere. Really, all MLP is is a cartoon for little girls with some references thrown in here and there, so the parent forced to watch this crap does not commit suicide.

I think fit/athletic males are aesthetically a lot more pleasing than women and I do not mind gazing upon their nakedness. However my dick does not seem to get aroused by it. I think too much illogical homophobia might be the indicator of repressed homosexual feelings in that person.

I'm an Ectomorph (fast metabolism, naturally slender build), so putting on weight it almost impossible. That might seem great to some, but I work out and its difficult when your metabolism rips through all of your food intake before you have a chance to supply nutrients to your muscle. If your overweight you want to lose it, if you underweight you want to gain it... nothings ever simple, eh?

Anyway, good luck Duders. You can do it!!

Errr, nobodies metabolism is super fast if that person is sedentary. If you want to gain wait simply eat more, and by eat more I mean eat a lot of calories, no way is your body gonna burn through them without some heavy training. Thermodynamics is a law of nature, if you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. And nobody can burn a lot of calories without moving, this is fact. People are skinny or fat not because of their base metabolism (which does not have much variation, it does to some extend but can only be heavily altered by training) but because of their shitty habits.

Also eating unhealthy food does not really mean you eat ''a lot'', you have to count calories to gain and lose weight.
