@holycrapitsadam: would you really be supporting the developers though? I mean to say, it's pretty much confirmed that a core of the studio isn't going to be around after MGSV, so sales probably won't affect them.

I do like the benefits of modern systems in terms of optimization. That being said, there are a lot of metro live apps I disabled, and other metro/windows pre-installed apps I uninstalled. My start menu is pretty tidy so far. I was considering sticking with Classic Shell but I decided I wanted to give this new design a fair shake. My only complaints so far are the weird Notification Icon next to the clock that doesn't leave and the fact Microsoft still hasn't added a Clock/toolbarsn to my second monitor task bar.

It looks nice, and fine. Runs well, didn't have any problems updating. Did a quick tour with the Xbox app and it looks promising. It also seems relatively simple to stream media from Windows 10 to my 360.

I'm actually kind of impressed by the "Groove Music" application. I used Winamp for a long time, like over a decade, but I'm considering sticking with this application because it looks nice and runs well, but I'm still testing it out. Winamp still has a much smaller footprint, but hell I have 16GB of RAM, so I don't even notice when I have too many cooks open.

Does anyone know the PC release date? It sounded like the QL: EX they did, that the PC release would be behind the PS4 release.

So now they're moving into cheaply made consoles, huh? Prepare for Green Ring of Death.

@quantical: Yeah, I've pretty much admitted I have zero knowledge of what I'm talking about. I have no idea what a port looks like. Never played one in my 20 years of PC gaming. /sarcasm

@brandondryrock:I'm saying my installation of the game is running perfectly. I literally have not had problems with it at all. There was 1 moment in the car where it dipped, but as a whole this game has been steady 30 FPS the whole way through. I'm running on a GTX 660 Ti, and I haven't had any issues at all with this game.

My point is that in some cases, people are trying to do something with the game that it clearly wasn't originally designed for. It was designed to run at 30 FPS, and uncapping the frames introduces a slew of problems they haven't designed around or tested for.

Capping the frames at 30 is shitty for people that have better rigs, absolutely, but that requires them to revisit the game and redo a bunch of stuff, which is way more work when you're not the original designers of the game. Iron Galaxy ported this game on a dead line. For what it's worth the game was ported, as was expected. They delivered the game that was given to them. It's clearly a port of a console game. It's not in anyway, redone to be a PC game. It does include gameworks (OPTIONAL) which is something a lot of other PC ports neglect.

That's the whole thing from me when I said people were expecting too much. They were expecting a PC game, built from the ground up as a PC game, when they should have known way ahead of time that they were getting a console game that was ported to PC.

I think this got blown way out of proportion. Expecting more than a console port is wishful thinking.

Over the years PC games have been getting shitty ports, and this wasn't a shitty port. People just have high expectations after the GTA V port. I'm absolutely fine with action adventure games running at 30 FPS if it runs smooth.

Nothing is worse than trying to push a game and your rig to limits when it can't handle it, as it won't play smoothly. This game was designed for consoles, and that's why it runs absolutely fine at 30 FPS, and not at 60 FPS, and I'm fine with that.

The only thing that is shitty about this game's PC release is that they changed the minimum specs the day before it was released.
