Terrific write-up! I suppose I am part of the problem as I rarely end up perusing any VNs/Japanese adventure games, but you do make this one seem quite intriguing and palatable.

I'm mostly indifferent to Star Wars these days, but I did actually enjoy the previous Fallen Order - suppose I should check out Survivor, huh? I think the PC version has been unborked at this point.
Oh snap, the final season?! Wonder how all these disparate plot threads will resolve. Though it seems as if you've now defeated the final boss of the N64? Sad to see it end, but glad for your mental/spiritual well being.
I had a grand ol' time with the Nightdive remaster of DOOM 64, for what its worth. Sacrilegiously enough I played it before completing the original DOOMs. (Which I did recently) I've got a headful of mad.
Hell yeah, Iconoclasts! I feel like this game does not get mentioned enough. A chunky, satisfying action-platformer with (as you said) a story that caught me off guard with its darkness.
And hell yeah, Finland! :D Spent a unconscionable amount of time playing freeware classic Liero as a baby. One of my FinFavs from last year was Trine 5— I consider that series my "comfort games". Gotta mention Mobile Suit Baba as well!

But what a terrific list! You elucidate what made El Paso, Elsewhere resonate so thoroughly much better than I am able to. Was expecting to like it and still ended up surprised at how hard it goes. And, word: MP2 is deffo one of the GOATS.
