3GB of RAM required for this game ??  What a joke.

Other requirements seems reasonable though.

Is your cpu Intel Core 2 Duo ??  If it is then you will need a decent CPU heat sink and a new motherboard that is easily overclockable. Lastly make sure your PSU can handle the new GPU.

Your right, Capcom have started developing their games on PC first, therefore they will not be losing any money by releasing this game even if sells will be low.

Now I'm torn between PC and PS3 version.
Looks like I will have to wait and see how this version will turn out. 

Your playing on your labtop and complaining about PC gaming ??

On my gaming "desktop" it runs smooth as butter with tons of graphical and other nice mods.

p.s. you can also connect gaming PCs to huge HDTV and play it sitting on a couch.

If other games on PS3 interests you, then go for it.  I finished MGS 4 few days ago, and now looking to purchase Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted sometime in future.

I have both games on PC, and have put much more hours into Left 4 Dead.   Dead Space is a good game but Left 4 Dead will last you longer.
