I haven't heard back from IP Bans, however, my access appears to be back to normal. First noticed when the images were loaded into the Top Shelf. I then went through the authorization process and the app is currently working as expected. Video Buddy apps are also functioning as expected again without any changes on my end.

@avenged: I know. Unfortunately, its the premium content I want access to the most right now - gotta see whose sunshine was stolen today! But, that is ok. I can live with some Airplay action from my laptop for a day.

@rorie: Would it be appropriate to bug you if I don't hear back by EOD tomorrow?

@kevwn: I just got in contact with the developer of the tvOS app on Twitter. Happy-ish to see I'm not the only one.

Last night the latest version of the tvOS app worked great and was a much loved update. However, this morning the tvOS app and iOS apps stopped functioning.

This just isn't right. I never met or personally knew Ryan, but I've been following his work (and play) since the early 2000s and all I can manage to say right now is that there is going to be a big hole in my life without him.

I too would rather buy the games I want to play instead of renting them. I had Gamefly for awhile and ended up getting rid of it because I was spending more money to buy games from them than I cared to do. Renting games just cost too much when I'm probably going to buy it anyways.

Gamefly is amazing when systems launch though, because there a lot of games that are just not good enough to buy, but you want to play things on a new system, so renting a lot of games at once is a good choice.

Meh, I'd still rather just buy the games. If I'm not sure I want to play them then I'll either: a) wait for the price to go down before I buy, b) not get the new system at launch if there doesn't appear to be any good games c) buy the games anyways and if they are bad enough just trade them back into Amazon.

The PS Vita for sure. I'm a sucker for Sony handhelds even if I don't need it. The Wii U right now barely has my interest. That could change over time, but right now I stare at my Wii that hasn't been touched in months.
