The interns have a show!... kinda!

Matt "Bodega" Kessler and Steve "Lemon" Ramirez present The Dig Deep, the show where we take a look at the comic, games, movies and tech that inspired the editors of the Whiskey Media sites and ask the important question; Do those products stand the test of time?

In Episode 1, Matt and Steve take a look at the Comic Book that got Comic Vine Editor In Chief Tony Guerrero into comics in the first place: The Amazing Spider-Man #252. Can this influential comic still hold up for a pair of modern whippersnappers? Tune in as the interns try and fine out!

Or don't tune in! Or go make a sandwich! Whatever you want! We're easy!

I'll watch.  But only because I have a sandwich already.
Edit: I liked it!  Lemon was a bit quiet, but it's interesting to see how weirded out you guys were by an older Peter Parker.  He gets de-aged so often it's hard to believe he ever had a beard, though.

This was pretty good for a first attempt! Steve was a little clammy and Matt rambled a little bit, but I think you guys both did a good job considering. Did the interns control the camera and video aspects too?

I think Matt should do QVC or infomercials or something.

Turtlenecks cutoff the blood circulation to the brain, hence, you see the light as your brain slowly dies from lack of oxygen.

Could do with some of those jolly jingles out of the WM OST. The music that usually plays during the Happy Hour intermissions.

Comic books, huh? At least the video had GUNS.

Tell me when the interns start covering video games in this feature. I'll go back to writing my latest blog.

It was alright. Not exactly what I expected out of the intern project, I mean, really that could just be a feature on Comic Vine or Giant Bomb. I thought there'd be something unique that you guys would be doing, I remember posting that I hoped you'd interview various Whiskey people. If Tony had been there to actually tell you why this comic was important to him, I think it'd have been better, in a sort of "who IS Tony Guerrero?" thing.

It was still nice though, just putting some thoughts out there =)

I was going to bash this some more, but I probably shouldn't hold interns to the same standards as the Whiskey people so... good first attempt. I'll be interested to see where it goes in the future.

I like it. I want to see the interns do more videos that are unique, and really reflect their personalities. and mix it up, it doesn't have to be locked into games, movies and comics.

I love that you guys are looking off screen at your guys opening speech.

(The digital zoom to fake multiple camera angles is a total pet peeve of mine. I don't know why, it really pisses me off.)

Good effort, guys, but the cuts to pages of the comic felt way too frequent and rushed. Still, I'll be looking forward to more episodes.

I would like a video where Matt and Steve go into specific detail what the problems were in going from Tropico to Tropico 2.

I'm not particularly interested in comic books but I'm interested to see more tech and game related episodes!

That was my favorite era of Spider-Man.

A comicy ass comic book with some foreboding in the shape of the symbiote of the direction comics would go.
