Too many games, Too little time.

I'm sure everyone is in a similar boat with the huge number of games that have hit the shelves in the past month or so, but I just actually looked at the games I've bought recently and it's crazy, so I thought I'd summarize the my gaming situation right now, a short overview of my feelings of the games,

FIFA 09

FIFA 09
FIFA 09
It was lucky that FIFA 09 came out before most of the holiday season's big releases. It gave me a good chance to get my teeth into it and play a briliant update to the licensed football game. The new colisions system works briliantly. For the first time in a football game the players actually look like they're actually feel real. The colisions system helps this, but it's also the way players interact with eachother. The introduction of a referee and linesman actually in game also helps this, even if it is annoying when the ref gets in you're way. It has excelent replayability value, I would still be playing it now if I didn't have so many other games to play, but unfortunately I've had to put it on the sidelines so I can play some more games.

Fable II

Fable 2 Limited Collector's Edition
Fable II is another game I've had a good chance to play. I got it on the release day, and played it allot, and finished it within a couple of days and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The colourfull and vibrant world was really immersive. The combat worked well,  Ordinarily I'd have played a second playthrough. I really wanted to try the game out as an evil character. I wanted to see just how much the world changes around you as you play, but once again other games prevented me from playing it as much as I would normally like too.

Far Cry 2

Far Cry 2
Far cry 2 was an impules buy for me. I didn't enjoy the first far cry, but I saw this one in the shop and decided to buy it. I haven't had a chance to play allot of it, but from what I played of the single player, I didin't like it. I hope to play it some more eventually and hopefully get into it. I did however get to play a reasonable ammount of the multiplayer, and I found it weirdly enjoyable. There was allot in the multiplayer that was bad, mainly the fact that you have to load about 20 bullets into someone before they'll die (Ok, 20 might be a slight exaggeration, but you get the picture). The map design wasn't great, and having to wait 20 secconds for a respawn is annoying, but somehow I had allot of fun playing it. I definately plan on returning to the multiplayer when I get a chance.

Midnight club LA

Midnight Club LA
Midnight Club LA
I played midnight club LA for all of about 30 minutes, purely because of the steep dificulty curve. Outruning the cops was near impossible and wining races usually involved restarting at least once. I'm sure once I get used to the road layouts and get a little bit more practice in It'll be fine, but right now I don't have the time to be learning street layouts on a game. Once I have time to dedicate to this game I can see it being really fun, but right now that isn't going to happen.

EndWar

Endwar is another game I'm having trouble to get into with so many other games I could be playing. The camera angle isn't like a regular RTS. It is fixed your units. You can rotate it and look all arround your unit's, but it still gives you no where near as much freedom to look arround as a regular RTS. I could see it actually being really fun once I get into it, but again, I've got so many other games to play, this is going to have to wait for a while before I play it much.

Gears of War 2

So far I'm really enjoying gears 2. I'm just at the beginning of act 3 and I'm enjoying it more than I enjoyed the first gears of war. The combat works really well and its just a shit load of fun to play, and I haven't even had a chance to play any multiplayer yet. Theres not really much else to say about gears, just that its awesome!!!

Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts

I got this yestarday, and I'm really enjoying it. The gameplay is really fun. The level design is briliant, I'm having an excelent time with it. The vehicle building elements of it is simple enough to make it easy to do, yet complex enough to be able to create some pretty bad ass stuff. The humour in it is briliant aswell, I definately plan on playing more of this. It might even eat into some of my gears 2 time, which shows just how much fun I'm having with it.

And more...

Well, thoes are the games that I actually own, but there are more games out and due out  soon that I really want to play too. Call of Duty World at War and Mirrors edge came out today, both of which I was planning on picking up, but I've decided against for now because I've allready got so many games to play. Next week sees Need for Speed: Undercover, Rock band 2 (I'm in the UK) and Left 4 dead being released, all of which are on my wanted list. I'm going to be running out of money soon, never mind time, it looks like I'll be eating beans on toast for the next 2 months!!!!!
