I haven't played Halo 4 and don't have any desire to do so, but can definitely see his points as being valid. His gripes about more of the same, and more Master Chief specifically are my reasons for having no interest in this game. I've never been a big fan of the character, I couldn't feel any sort of attachment or meaning to a faceless character that bulks around in a heavy suit of armour and never reveals any real human connection. I cannot see his face, I've never seen his face, therefore I don't connect with the character, at all. He might as well be a robot, because he's certainly not human in my eyes. Having a cast and crew of likeable humanized characters in both ODST and Reach made me enjoy both of those games immensely more than any Halo before them.
Now that we are back to Master Chief, I'm out once again. This is definitely a Halo game for the people who love the universe and feel moved and interested by Master Chiefs journey thus far, sadly I'm not in that group and it doesn't sound like this guy is either. I applaud his courage and honestly for going against the grain and voicing his honest opinion among all of the hype that any triple A blockbuster gets upon release.
