Helloooo everyone. This blog is intended to showcase graphic designs that I've made recently, a few (or most) of which are materials that I am compiling together for my school's yearbook. Everything I make is pretty much done in Photoshop, but I've been trying out with Illustrator to get some vectors for the crisp imagery that we need for our book. To kick start things I'll go ahead and post the two potential designs for our yearbook cover. Constructive criticism is appreciated.
First, the good things on the new matchmaker.
I seem to get better connections and ping whenever I connect to a game. Normally I get more shitty connection in COD4; but I do get a slight better connection with MW2. Ping and lag has always been the forefront of my frustration with the predecessor as it seems like I die instantaneously from non-sniper bullets, so this is naturally a good thing.
Then there's the lobby merging. Again, pretty nice if the lobby fails to get new players. Instead of backing out and jumping into a new lobby because there's no one joining the game, the lobby merges with another one.
But then there comes the flaws of any matchmaker.
Whenever I'm in a party with someone else, I get shitty connection. Three bars. Game still works, but I have to rely on other players sucking hard, missing their shots and me having to have super reflexes to be positive in a round. I have a theory that the matchmaker only determines whats the best connection for the party leader and not anyone else. This however just might be my own problem, as my clan members tend to be east coast orientated and hosting while us west coast members get screwed over.
Then the merging of lobbies. There are sometimes where it screws up and kicks you out of the lobby for whatever reason. This also happens randomly whenever you join a game and can't hear anyone else speaking, all the mic are turned off. It'll eventually kick you out to correct its own mistake. Sometimes you also can't join a game when you're rolling with a party, or it takes considerably amount of time to get a new lobby. It's like Gears of War 2 all over again, but more tolerable with the option of browsing around leaderboards, customizing your classes and looking through your emblems/titles. The wait time is not as bad as GOW2 however.
I think that concludes my post. Does anyone know how to boost my ping or anything? 'Cause I want to have the best connection I can have for gaming.
Heya. This is my first music video (and blog too) I made for Modern Warfare 2/Call of Duty 4. I've been planning on doing this for a long time now but never really got around to editing videos and stuff. But I've gotten around it and stubbornly made this video despite all odds of frustrating technical difficulties at the beginning and the end. I hope you enjoy it, or well at least bother to watch what I've made. Constructive criticism would be much appreciated, since I intend to make some more music videos in the future for other games and getting some feedback would be nice.
The song is "Into The Nothing" by Breaking Benjamin off their latest album 'Dear Agony'.
