Since Bakalar used this word and because Spiritfarer was discussed on this episode; I went my whole life not realizing how one actually spells the word 'tchotchke' until playing that game.
You guys rock! Thanks for speaking up about this because the situation is so heinous and dire. I don't have much to add since posting feels like the least productive thing to do about all this. It's maybe a sign that civility is failing us all. And yet even though it feels like our country is drowning in darkness like a damn Twilight Zone episode, you 3 managed to still give me some much needed laughter in this episode. Thank you and keep up the great work!
I feel sorry for Mark Tremonti whenever I hear Creed hate because he is an amazing guitarist. I need to hear @alex's opinion on Tremonti's post Creed work, his solo stuff and Alter Bridge which is everyone from Creed minus Scott Stahp and with Myles Kennedy instead who is an amazing vocalist and guitarist in his own right.
I feel you. Scott Stapp's singing and songwriting isn't the best but I truly believe Tremonti's guitar riffs were what made Creed a recognizable name for that era of music. It'll sounds silly to admit but he was one of several guitarists at the time who inspired me to even learn guitar. But as usual these kinds of discussions on GB seem propelled by how annoying they find vocals and songwriting of a given band.
And I am Floogan, the chivalrous kn-kniiiigh...paladin. Demons is the only Souls game that I never beat. Maybe when I get a PS5 I'll finally muster the courage to surpass Flamelurker...
I got a kick out of Vinny's love of Samurai Jack. I had assumed he would have been too old for it at the time but I guess not. Personally I'd say Dexter's Lab is probably my favorite Gendy Tartakovsky cartoon but Samurai Jack is probably his most consistent work and is the closest thing he has to a magnum opus.
Growing up I was under the impression that grape was the canonical jelly of a PB&J, to be honest though I wasn't big on jelly when I was a kid and just preferred plain PB sandwiches. As someone who works in a grocery store I can say we get those Uncrustables in equal supply grape and strawberry and both sell out at roughly the same rate so there's probably market data supporting the 50/50 split.
